Wow, you got so much complexity in such a short time i'm astounded. I love the way you command workers manually to get resources as a focus, it's an interesting idea.

Thank you for making this game. Brings me back to Warcraft. This is a good idea for a game. I think you did a great job.

Really cool, I love a good RTS. No major complaints except that I think maybe the selection buttons didn't work, or I didn't realize how they're supposed to be used. Overall very impressive for a Compo game, and I bet this would be a fun one to keep working on. Well done!

This is very impressive for 48 hours! It took me a little to figure out an efficient way to control the ants, but once I figured that out it was very fun!

Impressive! I wish I could click to select instead of doing a box select. Also I wish that ants automatically brought loot back to the anthill. But this is a really cool RTS game.

@cobear25 You can press 1 2 3 4 5 on the keyboard instead of the buttons in selection panel, it seems they dont work in web version for some reason.
Thanks for feedback everyone!

It is immediately obvious that a lot of work has been done.

Really impressive game, the mechanics are cool, but I encountered a lot of bugs in the web version (in firefox) which made it impossible to restart the game, and the title was on top of the help. Everything else works really well and the mechanics are also great. Overall it's a really solid game.

Rare strategy on entry, but well done - you deal with it.
Sometimes has food shortage when delivering it to the nest is too long.
Good gameplay loop, but lack of strategic content mechanics, but the game is awesome anyway)

Cool! Well implemented RTS. I would have preferred the resource gathering to be more automatic.

Nice game, looks impressive! The one thing that **bugs** me (pun intented) is that when you first start the game the UI is overwhelming with tons of information, and yet I didn't know what to do: no key to press, no objective. I know it's a challenge to explain complex games to the player, but I think those complex games require some kind of in-game introduction. Also some more audio would be nice (ambiance sounds?)

So again looks like you put a ton of work into it so very good job, with some kind of tutorial I could have appreciated the depth of the game even more!

@thomas-bringer thanks for feedback! unfortunately I ran out of time. I started on midday Saturday, all together maybe worked 15 hours, maybe I made the scope a bit too big, managed to add all the features I wanted but didn't have enough time for sounds and tutorial. Will certainly try to do a better job at planning next time :) I see you hardly ever missed a jam since #43! well done! going to check out your game shortly.

Really nice job at getting an RTS game working during a game jam! I think this is the first one I've played. I liked the varied resources and upgrades you could get. I do wish I could select just one ant with a simple click rather than needing to click and drag each time, but overall I think this was really well done. Nice job!

First impression is that there is way too much stuff on the bottom bar and it's hard to understand. It helps having played other RTS before but the feeling is that there is too much information and you have too little time to understand what all of those icons are about.

One way to get away with that could have been to have some tooltips and to add more icons as you progress.

I believe getting a good RTS in 48 hours is a super difficult task and you did a lot in such a short amount of time, kudos!

In the end I enjoyed it. It took me a bit to get the hang of all the commands but it was a fun experience.

I'm terrible at RTS games.. so I didn't get very far even after a few tries. Sorry that's more feedback about my rather than the game..

Cool graphics, really cool game play systems. Easy to control / pick up - with a bunch of depth to dive into (especially for someone bad at RTS). Really great in terms of realising the theme. Mind-boggling that you built this in two days.

Only thing I missed was music.. also more skill at RTS games..

I love idea of ants management game!! Especially all the subtle details in gameplay you managed to make in time (carrying rocks is slow, etc)

Hey, a fellow jammer that made the poor decision to make an RTS! Love it! Game's art makes it really clean and easy to figure out. The controls are also typical RTS controls so it's easy to pick up and play. On the other hand there are 5 different resources which makes prioritising/strategizing some resources over others really tough. Most big RTS games have only a few and they are still really deep games. The sound effects helped a lot to understand what is happening in the game but I still felt like the game lacked feedback. For example a better selection indicator for the selected ants might have made it feel better.
I'm going to go give it another go now. Thanks for the game!
