Experiment "26" by SvetlanaLis

[raw]
made by SvetlanaLis for Ludum Dare 56 (JAM)

The “Universe 25” experiment turned out to be a great opportunity to further your assumptions, so you’ve decided to expand it. Based on its results you’ve launched a new, twenty sixth iteration. Things are going to be different this time. With new conditions and rules you might be able to achieve an entirely different result, maybe not without a helping voice from behind your eyes that might gently push you towards the correct choices.

The game is available only in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Safari!

\\The game is controlled by voice, please check if you have a microphone before playing!\ Speak "Up, Right, Left" or in Russian to play this game.

We ask everyone to wait a bit and we will post our wonderful game!!!

Game wouldn't let me past the menu. If this is fixed, let me know. I would love to review the game properly

Game sounds interesting, but it seems like only the settings button works? Neither do the sliders in the options.

Interesting idea! Voice acting is cool. There are bugs. I would like to see this game in the future on different gaming platforms.

This is an interesting idea, but I couldn't get it to recognize my voice. I went to google translate to see how to say up/left/right/down in Russian, but either my pronunciation was too crappy, or the game wasn't picking up my microphone because the mouse never moved :(

The idea of the game is cool, but unfortunately the game couldn't recognize my voice in any way (
I spoke both English and Russian, I have a good enough microphone, and I spoke loudly.
But if you do not take into account this bug, then the visual design is quite pleasant, and the idea is actually very interesting!

I was able to get through 3 spaces/variations but afterwards it wouldn't let me control the mouse. Fun idea!

The graphics and the voice over and story all feel really polished, well done! I've also not seen any voice controlled games in the jam so far so that was really cool :)

I like the idea, the graphics and the sound, and the concept of using the audio input is cool. However, the gameplay itself wasn't very funny. Remembering the path to then recite it to the character... doesn't really feel like a game. I finished the levels, watched the third one, and decided I'd had enough.
It's a shame, because there was clearly a lot of effort put into this.
Maybe the wrong command shouldn't have killed the mouse outright, but made it less and less obedient to your voice, so it would damage itself even more and thus make the map, which in this case should have been more varied, harder to complete. And there could have been some rewards for the mouse in other parts of the map to make it more willing to listen. This could have expanded on the idea of actually communicating with the creature.
I just don't know, the gameplay right now doesn't really fit the narrative and isn't gameplay. I also can't help but notice that it doesn't feel much like the 25 universe, other than being an experiment with a mouse.

Nice concept, especially for web, it's kinda unusual to play the game with voice control. Very cool music theme and atmosphere.

First voice controlled game I've ever played, very cool mechanics. Gameplay itself was quite simple and would love more challenging routes! Loved the art and voiceovers, great work on the entry!
