It was very fun to play, had interesting visuals, and distinct structures. I got to wave 15, the game froze but I think it has something to do with something I discovered along the way: You can kinda cheese a bit of the incoming damage by holding a structure in place without actually putting it on the field. I didn't use it really until wave 15, but then I used it to hold the fort with Barry R without having to replace it before it died.
Mr. T was my favourite helper, I always built a bunch of them before the start of the waves.
My strategy was to build 3 columns of powerhouses and then 2 Buddy B, 2 Barry T, 2 Buddy B, 2 Barry T, etc. And the empty spaces would be spammed by Mr Ts.
Great job on this one!

I like the cute art.
I would have liked if the energy blobs were easier to see (often they would fall behind some character) and easier to click (they are quite small!) Sometimes an enery orb would land outside the playing area, and was even harder to click. Maybe just moving your mouse nearby could be anough to collect the orbs?
Big fan of mr. T, very useful.
Great job!
Edit: also played the Post-Compo version and got to Wave 22! Here's a screenshot just before the end...
