Cute sound effects, lovely visuals and great ideas. I think the stretch bot was a super clever idea, well done!
Some issues / questions / more feedback:
- when tabbing out / in, a new music track is played, overlapping the current one (gets really loud and weird haha)
- is it intended for the stronk bot to only be able to move backwards once he carries a battery?
- character controls were solid overall, I only thought the player cube was a biiit to floaty and jumping towards a wall didn't feel very good since you got stuck in the wall instead of gliding off
- a visual indicator of where you're shooting the objects with the stronk bot would've been a handy addition I think :)
@mullenratte sadly the stronk bot has many problems caused by the way the barrels and batteries themselves work. The only working way to make them unmovable was making them incredibly heavy, and that brought many bugs. The bug of the stronk bot happens when you grab something while standing really close to it, probably because the bot collides with it and, since it's really heavy in the physics simulation, he can't move in that direction. Most bugs of the stronk bot (and the alt tab music bug) are known and I may fix them shortly in a post-ld release. The indicator for shooting objects is a nice idea and I'll probably add it soon :) thanks for playing the game!
I really like the 3d pixel art graphics although the perspective can handle the reading of the levels a bit.
Some physics bugs may require restarting a level such as with the or when the battery is found to be strangely stretched.
I like having to control many robots that each have different abilities. The green box could also have been a robot.
(PS - Just a heads up that .rar files aren't the best choice for zipping! It means that the game can't run in the official itch.io desktop application, and it means that players have to have Winrar installed. Better to stick to just .zip files - much more accessible!)
@valmontechno I've never encountered that stretch bug, do you remember how it happened? The player was also supposed to be a bot but due to problems I had with Z-fighting in the model making process I wasn't able to fix everything in time, so he remained a cube :c also Thank you for playing the game!
@zappablamma I'll keep that in mind for the next LD. Thank you for playing the game!
The music was a bit bugged together but didn't bother me too much, the idea is awesome, execution is there, I had fun playing and abusing the physics!
And now a collection of my favorite bugs!
WHEEEE!

Dorime

wrong way buddy!

GET OUT OF MY WAY! (lost the footage where it bugged through the floor)

gotta replace your batteries :D

@stmate03 Wait, I've never encountered that arrow bug before, would you mind telling me how to replicate it? also thank you for playing the game
- Basically every bug with the Stronkbot. This incluedes clipping (both objects and with other bots), inconsistent throw force, weird interactions with the objects you pick up (can't move, fly) and more. That bot is a living hell.
- The arrow stretching with the stretchbot.
- The landing particles appearing at the wrong time when you select a bot you deselected before landing
- The button has weird interactions with the Stretchbot state.
- Can't jump on some things.
- When tabbing out, another track starts playing.
- Moving towards a wall while falling prevents you from doing so.
Hope you had fun doing it!
I'm stuck here because I accidentally missed a hint 😭

(everytime I launch the battery to the platform while it's moving, the battery would stretch like to various sizes)
Anyway, fun little puzzle game, I liked the 3D view and the music !
