:seenoevil:

ZOUB your way between the eyes of the ugly Bouzs, while tossing ZIB and ZAB to distract enemies, open doors, and make your way to the tower where your friend ZEB is detained !

You will play as ZOUB, a big, green and wobbly creature who is helped by his tiny friends ZIB and ZAB !

1 Jam, 2 days, 3 Zibbies ! :star:

ZIB ZAB ZOUB !!! was made during the ludum dare 56 game jam, in a weekend. We are a team of Game Design students and we LOVED working on ZIB ZAB ZOUB !

This french keyboard layout for movement is funny. I got stuck at the door way and can't throw my zab to distract him, even if his back is turned.

In a word wow, I am very impressed. Graphics, sounds, music, everything left incredible feelings. But why such unusual control?)

The presentation is great, the graphics and audio are top notch! I got really strong children's fairy tale vibes from this. The character designs were all awesome! I spent quite a bit of time staring into the enemy's eyes, admiring the sculpt and evaluating his soul.

The keyboard layout thing made it hard to play though. I didn't get very far, but did enjoy the bits I played. I know Unreal Engine's keyboard input system sucks, but if you ever update this to offer a WASD toggle, I'd love to give it another shot. Just leave a comment here with @ale so I get a notification

The french keyboard did surprise me, but the game is simple and reflex-friendly so this is not that bad. The graphics are really great, and the little dudes are cute and funny (love the names tho). I had a great moment playing. Good game !

it's amazing for you guys to make this game in such little time. really cute design and interesting game, the graphics and audio are pretty nice and well-matched, I love this, zibzibzib(the only pity for me is the French keyboard control)

This game is an absolute gem! The presentation is top-notch, with incredible visuals and immersive sound design. The graphics and audio are very polished, and the atmosphere has a charming, fairy tale-like quality that really pulls you in. The character designs are delightful, especially the little creatures like Zib Zab and Zoub — they're cute and memorable. 🐾✨
While the French keyboard layout added a bit of a challenge for me, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. I appreciate the reflex-based gameplay and the intriguing narrative. It's clear that a lot of thought went into the environment, and the mysterious background music really sets the tone for the entire game.
Keep up the fantastic work! 🖥️👏

A very interesting game, a separate respect for what they did on the Unreal Engine, it's commendable) And so cool music and interesting surroundings.

Awesome work ! As french, the keyboard wasn't a problem for me but maybe WASD is better for everyone. Good job guys !

Looks good although I got stuck at the second door. The second switch does nothing except change some shadow, impossible to open the door. I like the music and you guys made a good use of unreal engine. Good job!

Hi fellow Unreal (and french ^^) contributors! Thank you for this solid and ambitious entry ! A few remarks :

- The technical and artistic aspects of the game are the most impressive. It's beautiful, the introduction is funny and sells the fantasy universe quite effectively. Music is quite fitting as well, it sounds professionnal and sets a nice mood.

- The stealth level design is classic but also effective, a bit frustrating at times but that's the way the genre goes.

- I had a bit of trouble with the castle section, due to camera issues with walls, and the Zib Zab interactions that didn't seem to appear at times, forcing me to get caught to reset the level section. No soft-lock though.

Still, great entry overall, one of the more advanced I checked so far, well done !

WE FIXED THE KEYBOARD !!!
You can (if u want) download the game again, and the controls will now be in a good usual WASD !
Sorry for forgetting, we are indeed a french team and forgot to change the controls at the end x)
Tho, thanks so much for playing ZIB ZAB ZOUB !!! despite these unusual controls !

Nice character design and artwork! The puzzle solving using two tiny friends is fun. It may be more friendly if the game provides a tactical top-down camera.

Great work here, There were a lot of moments where it seemed like I was walking in front of the enemies, but didn't seem to get caught. I also played got stuck at the castle section and was unsure of what to do because my little blue guy didn't come with me. Loved the art and presentation!

Gave it another shot and it was much easier to play. I got a little farther than last time, but couldn't finish it because there seems to be a bug with aiming at bushes. In the section right after you get zab (EDIT: I mean the section *after* the first tutorial door, the one with two enemies), the red bush that moves the enemy away from the door only works the first time. If I get caught once, I'm no longer able to aim at it (i.e. zab's face icon doesn't show up) unless I'm standing right inside, which doesn't work because I'll get caught immediately if I throw zab at that distance.

After restarting the game every time I got caught (many times), I managed to get past that door, but then the same bug prevented me from hitting the next red bush, and I got caught by the previous enemy who spotted me through the wall as he was walking back to his post. I reattempted that like 5 times, but no luck :\

TO BE FAIR, I'm playing on Linux through Wine, so maybe the issue is on my end. Either way though, it's still a neat concept with great graphics and audio :)

Great visuals and music. However, I had issues when zib-ing and zab-ing. It wasn't clear when I could and couldn't use either power. Like I needed to be in range for each ability. So, often I would just mindlessly click until it went off. Also, I didn't understand the creatures coming back. I did find the puzzles were well-thought-out and could be completed with a bit of trial and error.
