I finally broke my streak that was running since LD37, prior to the New Site. I'm entering this Did Not Finish result as a marker. In truth I barely started.

I had the weekend cleared months in advance, but in the few days prior to the jam a medical situation developed in the family. (Everyone is completely fine, it was just some monitoring)

I set up the laptop in the guest corner of the hospital room, to get the ball rolling while everybody else slept, and see how it felt. Maybe I could ship something really small-scope?

I did actually make rapid progress on a controller, which was a fun few hours. But when I woke up Saturday morning, I knew there was no way I was going to ship anything without destroying myself, so I took the decision to pass this time around.

It's a shame to miss an LD and break such a long streak (eight years without missing one!) but it was definitely the right call.
