Sand Castle Destroyer by Vladik Plays

[raw]
made by Vladik Plays for LD33 (COMPO)
This is my first game made with unity so please expect bugs. It took me approx. 11 hours to make this game!

WARNING! I didn't have enough time to finish the game so I didn't include the 1 minute timer so that the game would end.

How to play: You are a small bad guy who is breaking sandcastles and ruining everything. All you have to do is walk to them and destroy 'em!

Controls: WASD or arrow keys to move and space to jump.

Source: to look at the source, you need unzip the source file into an empty Unity project which has a Playmaker asset.

I had far too much fun crushing these NPC's sand castle shaped poops

Ahh, The much fabled prequel.
The idea is just as monsterous, but without the music it felt less arcade-like.
One improvement might be to slow down less when you hit castles. It feels a bit like the player is too light, where as you want to feel tough, and mean =D

Great idea, and fun game!

Brilliant idea. Sad that game does not finished. And kids build new castles faster than I able to destroy them! I think that may lead to memory leakage in a long run.

The idea has some sweet potential if you get some sort of reactions from the NPCs.

So monstrous! Imagine if the NPC would get sad... xD
Also, the ground is a meter below my feet.

Destroying sand castles kind of made me feel bad for these poor NPC's. Nice entry!

It is a good start and congrats to first game in unity! It would have been good to lock the mouse and work some more on the players movements so it was easier to navigate around. The sand castles and their destruction was really nice. If the NPCs stopped a little while before their castles appeared it would have help the feeling of them actually building them. One way this could become really cool if you had to destroy as many castles as possible without anyone spotting you doing it. That is, give the NPC a visual field...

Not bad for a first attempt. I also like the idea, it made me feel like a brat who isn't very good at building sand castles, so instead I destroy those of others.
