Good simulator of god, but i cannot reach population over 200

I like idea with god and devil, Would like to have tutorial on first minutes, dont really understand what happens

I didn't really understand what was happening, maybe playing it longer I would enjoy it more, it looks very nice to be done in 48 hours!

The concept for this game is really nice, although it's not immediately clear what the effect of many of the cards are from playing them, which feels like a missed opportunity for adding some really nice visual feedback. Much of my time in the game was largely dragging all of my cards in, in an order that I thought looked like it balanced things, but whether I was doing well or not wasn't super clear. Again, really nice idea and the execution is generally quite nice.

I like the graphics and the map view from the top with god/evil is really cool. Also the lighting helped a lot, with little fires for the humans. Although the people were small and not animated, it still sold the visual, so that's quite good. The card for growth is a great idea - a card game where you grow your people. The cards were however very plain - eg. it did not seem to matter which card i choose, i played all non-red cards immediately. It did not feel like much choice needs to be made.

I don't know why other commenters didn't understand the mechanics of the cards, it was pretty clear to me. It's not that hard to get to 1000 population units if you spend your resources wisely, I had about 50 more populations in my deck, by the time I got to 1000 I had used up all my population cards.

The only thing I didn't understand was what the negative event cards did, it felt like if you didn't play them, the demon would cause a natural disaster that would take away a lot of resources.

Your hand-drawn art style complements the idea perfectly. Great entry!

Fun game, I really like the art style and overall presentation! I was doing poorly in terms of progress, but it was fun to watch the whole creation scenario play out!

I like the concept and the banter between the angel and devil was a nice touch, but I'll echo the sentiment that I was also confused about what my goal was. I think I got up to 800 people at one point but one of the devil's catastrophes dropped it down to 600 and I just couldn't get it to rebound. I eventually picked up that I should save the curses for times of abundance in order to offset their impact, but with the random nature of the cards it felt completely up to luck if I drew a card I needed. I think it might be a nice twist if the evil cards had a mixture of good and bad to it, to make the player more tempted to play them. Like a "feast of gluttony" card that boosts happiness but drains food supplies, for example.

The best part of the game is the presentation of the small people. It was fun looking at them walking around. :)

I think the "good" cards were pretty clear in the description. I could get into the gameplay very fast, which is a good thing.

I know that you did it in 48hours, but I would have liked more cards with different effects. You could still use your three main stats, f.ex. a "hard work day card", which provides more food, but decreases the happiness. The game would be more variable.

But mad respect for finishing this game in just two days! Good work. :)

Really loved the take on the theme - making "tiny creatures" out of something we wouldn't ordinarily view that way: people, by changing the perspective to be from a god. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Love the hand drawn art style! The game’s concept is really cool, though the card randomness made it a bit hard to plan ahead. Still, super impressive for 48 hours! Any plans to expand on it? Gj!

I was doing fine up to 700 population until I was out of food. Perhaps there could be some balancing improvements but otherwise it was pretty enjoyable. The music fits the balance of good and evil I think.

The game didn't fit my screen even when going full screen which is a shame, I feel I missed flavor from the dialogue.

This game felt a little long (lots of back and forth without really any changing of the game itself or control over the cards) BUT it was super fascinating. And I love that, even though it's likely impossible to lose if you don't purposely try to lose, there IS a loss condition! After winning I couldn't resist playing again to see what would happen if I didn't play any cards...
