Itty Bitty Mutant Parasites
You have been miniaturized to 1/47th of your size inside a Quantum Spacetime Capsule in order to personally eradicate a species of hostile itty bitty little mutant parasites.
Your mission is to navigate the cells within the host and destroy all parasites in each cell. Due to the nature of the Quantum Spacetime Capsule, time slows down when you are at rest and speeds up while in motion.
The Capsule is equipped with a Beam Weapon that reflects off of walls. Hold Right Mouse Button to aim, then press Left Mouse Button to fire. Line up your shots to take out multiple targets at once to get bonus points.
Controls
- WASD: Move
- Hold Right Mouse: Aim
- Left Mouse: Fire
- Menu/Pause: M

Time slows down while at rest and speeds up while in motion.

Use obstacles and quantum timing to your advantage or you're toast.

Eradicating multiple parasites at once keeps your shot count lower, giving you a better score.

Play through all 5 Cells and try to top the leaderboard!
Scoring
Each level has a "par" number of shots, similar to golf. If you manage to eradicate all parasites in the level under par, you'll get bonus points per shot under par: - 3 under par: 40,000 points - 2 under par: 20,000 points - 1 under par: 10,000 points - Even with par: 5,000 points - Anything over par: 500 points
Bugfixes
- Fixed issue where Beam Weapon was disappearing/intermittent when reflecting off of walls.
- Fixed issue where Beam Weapon would sometimes not pierce multiple enemies.
- Pressing Enter on the name entry screen now always confirms your name entry (some players reported getting stuck here).

I think I'm stuck at this page?.
@umnatz yes always thought superhot's time mechanic was super fun. Thanks man glad you enjoyed
And awesome idea to create a superhot-like experience with 2D shooting game!
I think the focusing have some problem that I can only press enter after selecting some letters of the name.
Besides, the UI went out of the screen no matter how I try to change the ressolution and zooming.
Hope you can fix the unpredictable reflection as that really holds this game back.
It might be nice to have the beam still present while reloading (could be red until it's ready to use or something).
I think it would make the game more engaging if you wouldn't be repositioned to the start on damage. Just have the player lose a health point instead, while staying at the same position.
If I go to the menu and click restart mid-game the first level no longer registers that I've cleared it and I can only progress by refreshing the page, which makes it frustrating to retry runs.
Despite the issues this is a solid game!
@unless-games Happy to report that I got this beam reflection issue fixed! As far as repositioning, you're dying with every hit, so it made sense to me to respawn you at the spawn point. Regarding restarting from the menu, that button restarts the entire game, not the current level. Sorry for any confusion. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the detailed feedback!
@phobos001 The aiming/beam reflection bug has now been fixed. Thanks for taking a look at the code and trying to help. The solution was to offset the point of where the reflected beam ends/next one begins by a tiny amount. Glad you enjoyed!
fun game I like it.

I get that, but after one restart from the menu, I shoot the two enemies on the first level and the game no longer registers that I cleared the level, I am stuck on an empty first level. Maybe it doesn't happen all the time but it did for me.
More levels, change up the mechanics a bit as you progress - could easily make a full game out of this. Nice.
@lantto Ah I didn't think about 1-button mouses. Maybe holding Shift instead of RMB would be a nice alternative?
@manabreak Sorry for any confusion -- I guess the time slowdown could look like lag! Maybe I should add some audio/visual cue that the slowdown is happening, so that it's more obvious it's intentional? Maybe I'll tweak some of the post-processing effects just slightly during the slowdown.
@sdcorpse You're the only one to mention the music, so thanks! It was rushed, so it's not a compelling concept musically, but hopefully the vibe is there.
@garys My data shows you played for almost 20 minutes! Thanks man I really appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed. Yes I'm currently working on a bunch of new levels today for the post-compo version. Hopefully will have a TON of new levels for people to play over the weekend, so please check back! :)
Also this is a really cool game! I really like the concept! The only suggestion I would give would be that I think it would be useful if the enemies couldn't move. But good job!
This was such a cool take on the minigolf genre! I can totally see myself coming back to this to get better.
Great job on this one. One of my favorites!
