I guess you have the same issue I had with my game when publishing it. Make sure to
pack it as a ZIP index.html is at the root-level aside the folders created by Unity
Disable “Data Caching” when creating the WebGL build in “Player Settings” -> “Player” -> “Publishing Settings”
Got 60 demons and 300 letters the second try! =D
I have a `QWERTZ` keyboard and for me `Y` and `Z` are inverted :/
The difficulty ramps up a little fast, maybe a system that adjusts to the users speed could be used? Also, it would be nice to be able to focus on not just the bottom word (so I can give up and cut my losses on a word or two instead of getting rekt by it and all after it)
But great tutorial! And the feel was awesome! Sound effects were punchy and typing felt good :)
Perished 158 demonds this time with 771 letters >:D
Do they still teach typing in schools? This would be such a good way to gamify it - well, with this concept and a less dark theme.
One suggestion, for what it's worth: when you miss a word, reset the screen or something? It was pretty easy to miss one word and then not be able to recover. Maybe that's intentional though.
2 simple feedbacks : I would add support for AZERTY keyboard, and being able to "pass" a word (with Tab for example) so when you know what you're not doing great for the current word you can change (but still lose 1 life).
Very good job!
I did like the art, nice touch having the character speak when you type and the screen shake when miss-typing. Sound effects were fitting as well.
Great entry!
Maybe it’s a skill issue on my end, but I found that if I missed 1 word, then the timing window to recover and type the next name was too short since the names where so close to each other vertically. Perhaps have the names pause or slow down significantly for a second once one hits the ground?
The names getting flipped was a fun and challenging twist, and I appreciate it eventually flipping back if you manage to handle it for long enough.
The game is very polished and well made! Good work!
