Moral Monster by Aske

[raw]
made by Aske for LD33 (COMPO)
Sorry for little desc. more is coming soon, but i have school tommorow

MORAL MONSTER:

Made in 48 hours for the compo. I used Haxe with HaxePunk in monodevelop to code it. Photoshop for the graphics and lastly GarageBand for the theme.

Move with arrow keys. If you stand next to the monster it will get angry and attack you. Attacking them cause knockback and stuns them for the next turn.

Tried progressing (if that's in) but I always died from killing the monsters. Looks pretty!

Thanks for letting us play your game!

I'm sorry Bob. I'm so sorry.

What I liked:

Nice graphics and animations on the monsters. Fun, solid sounds. Liked the 'cinematic'. Really solid game play foundation for a 48 hour game!

Areas to develop:

Would have loved to see something to mix the combat up (just a little), as after I got the hang of it, you can manipulate the monsters into range pretty easily.

Would love to see this idea further!

Congratulations! Well done!

Nice music and game. Hope to see more soon.
The strategy is good. And I could forever walk into a wall and they'll still move, till they come near and I kill them. The ending was funny. So then I restarted, and got killed, I was just slain. Who was the real MONSTER then!? :P

Nice entry!

I would've felt sorry for them if they didn't kill me a lot of times.

Good game, particularly for 48 hours. The monsters were easy to manipulate once you learned the trick to the combat, unfortunately. That did, however, provide me with a few games of dying before I figured out how to win, which is nice. Unfortunately, there were times that I would get hit by the monster and then could no longer hit that monster, I'd just go sit inside of him and die as he could hit me but I could not hit him. Overall, though, as I said, nice game! And the obligatory: Poor Bob...

Yeah I know about the bug with them just standing on top you, I'll probably make a post compo version with other enemies too..

and thank you very much for the feedback :)
