i can be ur angle or yuor devil by Anthony Katona
Destroy the source of evil with the angel's bell in this browser-based 3D action garbage pile!

Goal:
- Destroy the devil summoning device in the main room without being touched by a devil
Controls:
Move with WASD/mouse
Attack with "E" (summons your angel)
Misc. info:
Tools included Unity, Blender, and FL Studio (and the bell's texture was the first image result for "ornate" on google)
This was my first time doing a few things in Unity like real 3D level design, AI, and a "boss" fight. If I expand on it, I'd like to use a better system for organizing the rooms, rig the devils, make a visual indicator for the bell cooldown, add some a player mobility mechanic, and make the boss fight more difficult

[Spoiler] Mechanic insight if you're struggling:
The starter room is marked with a small mushroom (the only one in the map). Immediately 180 when spawning to head towards boss room. The boss room is preceded by a stretch of space open to the world on its left
Devils spawn every few seconds and can enter the boss room from the door even after its closed for you so be mindful of time
Angels summoned on a ~3 s cooldown and they rise twice before disappearing
Hit the boss room cylinder with 3 angels to win
The devils have poor turn rate so if they get too close to angel-attack, you can (1) walk around them first or (2) throw an angel in the opposite direction and maneuver around it (the latter was the main vision for the strategy of the game but I couldn't implement it well enough to properly compete with just throwing an angel in their face which probably makes the player feel like that's their intended use)
Thanks for playing and feel free to report criticism, bugs, ideas, or praise!

I found It difficult to get how the game works (game mechanics are not clear to me)
As you mentioned in the description, an indicator for when the angel is ready would be good, as I would run away spamming the button  Other improvements I would make would be to let you walk through the angel, as I died a couple times because I spawned the angel infront of me and trapped myself! (Although maybe that's just a skill issue on my part)
But congrats on the submission!
I liked the graphics and the sound. The gameplay of trying to find the ending while creatures chase you is fun.
Good job!
Some bugs probably
- crossed through some walls maybe twice and somehow
- got into air a room before the boss and it stayed like that to the end, although I could still walk (or levitate now?)
The fact that you are so much smaller makes these devils appear even scarier!
Before reading your text on mechanic insights I was struggling a bit and I also never thought about not throwing the angels directly at the devils. But in general the idea of spawning angels as your attack is a really cool game mechanic with a lot of potential. I think the game would greatly improve by adding some more features differentiating the rooms (like the mushroom chair) to make navigation easier.
All in all a great little jam game!
Still, it's a good start. Keep up the good work.
