Please make game screen bit smaller in WEB. It's bigger then Ludum page frame. There some issues in character rotation.

I had a little trouble moving the character since he always turned back around in the other direction XD Other than that cute little game and nice concept!

That was a lot of text to read at the beginning. Maybe I'm just tired but my eyes began to glaze over trying to absorb it. I eventually decided to wing it to give the game a chance. The tank controls were very surprising, in a not good way. I eventually figured it out and it was fine to control just not expected.

By far the worst thing about the game was the music. It got very annoying, _very_ quickly. No sound controls either so I just muted my computer.

I really like how varied the world is. After I explored the wooded area it was nice to cross the river and find a much more varied landscape. It made me want to keep exploring to see what I would pick up.

The limited inventory was not great. I wanted to experiment with the potions, since that's what the game seems to be about. However, with only enough to store for a single potion per trip I didn't have time nor energy to experiment. Having a bigger, but still limited, inventory would have helped.

I'm not sure why I got to name the potions. That was featured prominently in the instructions, so I thought that it would help me in some way. Like I could say mark the one that gave me a tough mushroom with like "strong boi" or "spiky bugger" for the high damage ones. But it prompts me the name before I learn the stats -- I only learn once I drop the potion on the mother mushroom.

The time limit was too long. It did let me explore the whole world (and find there's no collision on the world borders so I can just walk into the void). By the end I just waited for the bugs to attack.

When the bugs attacked it was anti-climatic and the mushrooms didn't seem to be doing anything to them. They just sorta sat there... like mushrooms. Slowly being eaten by bugs. Then they were gone and the mother mushroom got eaten and I died.

I usually play a game twice to give it a chance, but it was too long, too boring, and the music was the final straw that made me not try it again to see if I missed something with defending the mother mushroom :(.

I don't see a lot of 3D games made using GMS2 so this was nice to see! Here's some feedback from my 10-15 minutes of playing:

First of all I'm not a big fan of the camera movements, feels a bit too "wobbly" and nauseating for me.

I like the exploration and gathering materials aspect of the game, but the tiny inventory size hampers that experience quite a lot. Would be nice if I could explore and forage for a while without constantly having to go back and forth to the brewing station.

As for the brewing aspect of the game, I like the idea of being able to name your recipes! However in practice after the 5th potion or so I just don't know what to name them anymore, especially because we don't get to know the effect of the potion until we apply it. Also, when I tried brewing a similar potion with the exact same combination it asked me to name the potion again, I'm not sure if that's intended.

On a positive note, the 3D models and the environment of this game looks quite good! The concept of the game is also interesting, I think it can be a fun game after some finetuning.

Oh btw I had to download the game because the HTML5 embed didn't fit properly into the window. Next time I'd recommend using GMS2's .zip export instead of the .exe installer export, it's a lot simpler for smaller jam games like these so people don't have to go through a whole installation process just to play your game.

Congrats on finishing the gamejam!

Thank you @skullpaca @timidger @blueanoli @wmute @naplz98 @leiv-erik for your feedback.
I'm fixing all the bugs you have told me about, I will publish the updated version in 20-30 minutes.
Sorry for wasting all of your time with this garbage game, it was pretty rushed lol. I hope you will like updated version.

Hey man, don't call your own game garbage. Game jams are ultimately a learning experience and putting out something playable within 72 hours is already an achievement. Also it seems like this was your first time joining? You did great!

Your game is not garbage! If it was I would not take the time to comment on it. I think there was a cool vision somewhere in there that was hard to see.

I've never done 3D game programming so even just the simple shapes you have are impressive to me -- I have no idea where to start with any of that. And as I noted in my original review I like the biomes. I found them interesting and I did want to explore the world.

Congratulations on finishing it by the deadline. Being open to feedback you can use to improve the product is a great skill to hone.

Wave timing is pretty long, but I see the depth of the mechanic, and will def try to dig into this further. Good job!

I agree with @skullpaca the installer is definitely not as good as a zip. Giving admin privileges to strange downloads is risky. The game is a neat base concept. I don't think the player should name the brews, actually. It's a bit jarring. Also apparently one of my potions crashed the game, and I don't know why.

The concept of gathering resources, making potions, and summoning mushrooms are all nice. Maybe it's just a habit thing for me, wanting to auto-collect. All in all, well done.

Cool, a 3D game! I like the big mushroom.

I found that it was quite a lot of BIG text to start with without visuals, and I accidentally skipped some of it. I didn't like that I had to click the ingredients to collect them. Also, something was off with the mouse coordinates, as I have to click not on the ingredient, but some way to the top-left of it. Once I figured that out, I managed to cook a potion, but was then unable to deliver it to the mushroom mom, since that meant that I had to click outside of the game due to the funny coordinate problem.

I tried downloading the game, but that didn't work since the link seems empty?

Hey there, I couldn't collect the items by clicking them and the download link isn't working for my. Maybe upload it to Itch.io to guarantee the link doesn't get dropped? Would love to give this one a go!
