This game was made in 72 hours using Godot 3.5 for Ludum Dare 55
Hit "Esc" button for settings menu, including a fullscreen option.
Click and drag the pieces in the summoning circle to move them to empty slots.
The theme was summoning; In this game you play as a wizard and engage other wizards in a game of "Chessummon"--Wizards Chess; where you summon pieces and spells onto the chess board in an attempt to achieve victory.

It's just not really clear to me how to do the puzzle in the top right
Solving the sliding piece puzzle in the corner during a real-time game is actually a great idea, because you're juggling multiple small tasks that aren't difficult by themselves, but become challenging when you're constantly task-switching.
I think giving some reason to be more aggressive early on might help improve the game. During my second game, I sat there and just waited for the enemy to get close to my home row, then summoned pawns and instantly killed them. At that point, I had so many pieces on the board that the opponent couldn't do anything about it, and I won.
Summoning chess was a nice idea and the way you implemented it was great!
The music and sound effects were great, especially the bgm! A bit loud though...
The visuals were simple but really good. The whole magical aesthetic was really nice.
The ai was strange? It wasn't bad but it kept saying that I will pay for this yet it did nothing different.
As I said, really fun! If you ever wish to add more to this game in the future let me know!

The summoning circle was very difficult to get working and wasn't explained in the game well, but I liked the concept of adding a second task that had to be micromanaged along with the board.
I couldn't figure out which pieces could combine if any. And there were a few spots where it forced you into making a decision where it would have been nice to be able to back out, although that could intentional as a rule of chess is often where you touch a piece and have to move it
Chess pieces works almost as intended, we can take opponent pieces and movements are limited to avoid going to the opposite map too fast. Something i'm not sure if it's a bug or not, I was able to take opponent pieces with some of my pieces even though it couldn't go to the opponent location. By doing so, the opponent piece die and my piece stay at his place instead of taking the opponent place.
Also, I could summon a piece on top of another piece. By doing so, the first summoned piece got glitched and couldn't be moved anymore.
The little puzzle at the top right was a bit inintuitive haha, I was clicking every pieces trying to move them on what I thought was empty spots, but it was actually the dark piece that was supposed to go at the middle of the circle. Though I still managed to move the pieces on my 2nd run and complete the puzzle :) !
