Great visuals! Loved the funny remarks the wizard made when trying to hit him and upon respawn. Range attack often did not seem to fly towards my mouse and fly over enemies. Hope you had a great time making this!

Great job, guys! Really liked the character progression when gaining a new level, the VFX are also very nice, good feel for attacking and dealing damage. I assume you implemented procedural dungeon generation as part of the game jam, which also deserves respect.

Well polished little game.

Nice job with the entry, I find it pretty fun and replayable, took me a while to realise that the blue spheres chasing you where xp to level up and not bullets XD.
But had a lot of fun.

The game is really good, but some moments are extremely unclear, such as where I am, the ability to use magic (which I only understood after another level-up), and the ultimate goal of the game. Also, projectiles sometimes inexplicably miss their targets.

Overall, I enjoyed it very much.

Game is good and fun! One little issue I had was the lv1 projectiles sometimes don't hit enemies. Loved the sound, graphics are good!
Great job!

This was a great game. Nicely done. Graphics were top notch.

The only thing are the controls. You need to fix it so whatever direction you are facing you walk in that way. Use the mouse to point the character in the correct direction not the WASD keys

Other than that, well done

That was fun, now my fingers need to rest. Too much clicking. Hold to continuously attack would have been nicer.
I often unwittingly clicked an upgrade button as it appeared suddenly under the mouse in the middle of combat.

I like the random challenges, though I did get a walk into a trap one when I had 4 health.
I actually only realised you had a ranged attack after getting the melee only quest. I found it hard to aim though.
Nice particle chaos in the final battle, managed to beat it on my second attempt. Some of the upgrades are very powerful.

Very impressive how much you were able to do! Really liked the visual effects, especially the movement shadow effect, felt really cool just moving around. Our games are quite different but we had quite a similar take on the theme :)

Fun game! Controls were a bit wonky at time but it was intense and fun!

Good job. Beautiful graphics and pleasant music! A couple of minor gripes— the dash was useless since you couldn't control its direction. The melee attack was almost useless too, as enemies always deal damage up close. But for a game jam, this is very impressive work, you've accomplished a lot!

I beat the mage!

What a blast. The projectiles were wild. The random power ups were fun. Sound was great and graphics were great. I felt pretty OP at the end but sometimes I want to feel that way.

Great work!

What a banger soundtrack and great looking game! I love the vfx, and the models look great too. The gameplay feels juicy (love the screenshake) and found the task system to be interesting and think it adds variety to the game.
Overall, I had a great time. Well done guys! :D

Awesome game, looks polished, considering the scope. Really like the art style. Looks like that "archer" build is much easier to play, I was just obliterated, when I've tried to do a melee build. Also, the final boss kinda bugged and was just staying in place doing nothing.

It looks awesome. I really like the lighting and the fadeing out of the wall. Well done

I had a lot of fun upgrading my ranged skill through this. The music, sound, layout/design kept me wanting to move forward. Standard WSAD and LMB RMB controls made it super easy to pick up and play. Battle music was on point for the pace of the fights and tone of the game. Every upgrade made each encounter feel a bit different.

The boss/wizard was the only thing that was really bugged. I just stood there and right clicked with zero movement happening for me or him, and he didn't ever attack with any ranged or melee from what I could tell.

Since you can moonwalk as a demon creature while shooting magic... that makes this one worth playing (especially if you enjoy the dungeon crawl genre).

Cheers. :)

@stupidhobbit @trevor-lentz Glad you enjoyed our game! Sad that the boss fight didn't work properly for you, it might be because it is only triggered after completing the dialogue, which is triggered by walking towards the center of the room. We added a new version that puts you in the center of the room and forces the dialogue.

Really enjoyed this one. The wizard's comments were great, and the gameplay was really fun. I found that the projectiles were OP pretty early, so started to build towards them. I thought it would be cool to have enemies that were immune to ranged to help counteract it, but just as I thought that, I got the melee only curse, so that was great!

The lighting for the rooms and particles is pretty. Lots of polish and clever solutions here. The spider animation and the fact the player demon doesn't need a walk cycle are fun bits of problem solving. Game felt great to play, however, I kept accidentally clicking outside of the window (both in full-screen and windowed) which was a bit annoying. Also the ranged particles, once fully upgraded to the white ones, were blinding lol. But it was still fun to shoot enemies the whole time. Awesome job adding meaningful progression to the gameplay loop, in such a short timeframe!

Great artistic work! The visual effects are incredible and the assets are super polished, I found it very fun to play it. The progression in the character is very good, I think that polishing the game feeling and the mechanics of movements and attacks of both the character and the enemies would be great. Well done!

Lovely little roguelike! I'm impressed you went the extra mile and included a cutout effect for walls when the player is obscured. Everything feels so polished. I also like how in lieu of giving the character a running animation, he's just surfing on a [expletive deleted] cloud - nice and simple.

Great looking game. Particles, VFX all look awesome. The looking through wall shader is especially nice. Melee attack animation though not giving much feedback that I am attacking. Range attack looks and feels nice though. And you have level up in jam game OMG. But the level up windows comes up suddenly in between gameplay. Death of player is also not very clear.

very fun game! the particle effects are so pretty! i also love the upgrades being random each time. but i noticed if i level up while still fighting i usually hit one of the options by accident. not sure how you would fix that though, maybe making the player open a menu themselves to upgrade instead of it being automatic?

The game is a lot of fun. After I had twice the attack speed and four times the number of projectiles I was the demon she tells you not to worry about.

Cool game! I think most of the things I found a bit frustrating to begin with ended up being things that were upgradable so ultimately made a lot of sense they start off not being super powerful! I did find I sometimes didn't get a great sense of when I was taking damage and how much damage I was taking, so a bit more feedback there might improve things a bit?

Graphics and visual style are awesome and the audio fits really well with it. There's quite a nice arc of beginning / middle / end as well!

Amazing graphics and gameplay loop is very short and nice. Mouse aiming does not work as expected but i managed after i got an upgrade with extra projectiles ;p. Enemies do alot of damage with that poison i took 3 hits before dieing everytime but game is short enough for that not to be an issue. Overall very good job.

Hi, thank you for playing my quacking game!

Your game has very nice graphics! I don't know how much you made yourself and how much is assets though.

The gameplay was smooth, the upgrades were interesting.

I kinda missed some clue that my life is about to be drained and I just died.

The music was cool :)

I will upload my playthrough to youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@standanovak

Cheers from Czechia!
