* Wait, you found a CAT SUMMONING TERMINAL!*
* It seems that some people want to summon some cats?*
* Enter commands and use the terminal to help them!*
* Well, here are some necessary (maybe) gameplay notes:*
This is a game about "someone wants to summon a cat, so the player uses the terminal to create a cat that responds to them."
How to play:
- Type letters or numbers to enter a command.
- Press Enter to submit the command to the Terminal.
There are two types of terminal commands:
- Direct Commands, such as: "Help".
- Commands with Objects, such as: "Init:Cat".
Direct Commands include:
- Help: Display the instruction manual.
- Exit: Exit the game.
- Info: Displays information about the current summoned object.
- Summon: Summon the current summoned object (similar to the return statement in some programming language functions).
Commands with Objects include:
- Init: Create a new summoned being. Optional objects include "Cat".
- Gender: Set the gender of the current summoned object. Optional objects include "Male" or "Female".
- Color: Set the color of the current summon. Optional objects include "Black", "Blue" or "White".
- Age: Set the age of the current summon. This object should be an integer number.

Wouldn't say i spend a long time on your game, but it filled the desired 5 minutes with a fun time, well done!
As a person who is not very confident, your comment gave me unprecedented positive feedback! Like an angel, you instantly cleared away my whole day’s fatigue!
😀Thanks again! ! !
The game really gets fun when the cat is not satisfactory and you have to better think about what it is that is being requested and translate that to the proper commands. Some real requirements engineering going on here, well done!
One thing I was a little sad about was that there was no real way to "fail" a summoning - if you're trying to summon the wrong cat, it just won't let you. I tried to deliberately summon cats that didn't meet the request, just to see what would happen.
Overall, though, it felt nice and everything in it was very consistent and clean. Figuring out exactly what was needed was a very light puzzle, but just enough to feel like I was doing something.
Interesting idea, and it definitely fits the theme! I think it's a nice cozy game.
I think it would be very satisfying if u could add some typing sound effects.
One recommendation would be some small SFX. Just really basic effects like a sound for typing, success/fail, cat meow etc would add a lot to this game.
overall great work, well done!
Took me a little while to understand the command syntax, but I quickly got the hang of it.
Afterwards, there was no challenge, just typing the commands to summon the cats people wanted. Maybe adding a timer so you'd have to summon as many cats as possible in a limited amount of time would be a good addition to help the player have a goal.
Although the font goes well with the aesthetic you were aiming for, I would definitely recommend finding an alternative due to some letters being difficult to distinguish (like H and X).
Thanks for the quick fun game!
A _tiny_ bit of audio - even just a little keyboard clicking sound when typing - would have really punched up the polish. Also, adding an element of increasing difficulty would have kept me on the hook longer. I think I had one request that was "A white cat named X misses her sister", which I thought was clever - would have loved more indirect clues such as that.
Really solid work!
Otherwise, it was cute helping people find the cats they wanted. I liked the one about Luna missing her sister (it took a moment to figure out I needed a female cat there).
- A score or a win condition or something would be nice. After the first few
successful summons, I wasn't quite sure what to do
- `init:cat` seems to be totally optional; not sure if that's intended
- Sound would help a lot. Even just a basic "clack" sound when I type, or an
occasional mew from one of the cats.
- I think there was a missed opportunity here for easter eggs/hidden messages. I typed
"init:dog" and was disappointed :P
- I'm having trouble finding the link to the source code. Have you posted it somewhere?
1. After announcing the theme, I immediately thought of "creating a simulator for summoning animals" and developed it into what it is now. The mission system is just to make players feel that their actions are meaningful, so it does not take too much time to delve deeper(now it seems that richer content may be needed).
2 & 4. The original idea was to allow players to create animals other than cats.
3. I will update this demo after the rating period and add appropriate sound effects to it.
4. I didn't realize that I needed to upload the game source code, and I'm very sorry for my oversight. I've updated this page with the relevant Github link, where you can access the game's source code.
Thanks again for your likes.
Good job!
1. Added typing sound effects.
2. Added Command History feature.
3. Added some standby reactions while cats are waiting for you.
4. And some insignificant little easter eggs.
Thanks again for playing my game!
