Summon Surprise by Paroxysmal

[raw]
made by Paroxysmal for Ludum Dare 55 (JAM)

You have found a deactivated portal. Collect the sphere shards and place them on the pedestals to see what gets summoned from the portal.

Controls

Arrows - move

Space - jump

Ctrl - interact / Enter - confirm button selection

Shift - Shift crates

R - reset level

Esc - Back out of menus

Known issues - Spikes can be a bit unforgiving. Crates can get stuck but using Shift should fix them.

Made with Godot, Aseprite, Affinity Design. Bfxr

The game was suppose to have where depending on the order you place the sphere different things would summon, but time got away from me and I was not able to implement it.

Good platformer, good work

I found a bug, if you put box near "pillar" (idk how to name it), and press shift, box will teleport on the other side of pillar :0

Graphics are good, for me i think audio little bit loud.

A fun little game! Platforming was a bit uncomfortable (the jump back over spikes in green sphere world gave me a gray hair), but puzzles were fun to solve, great job!

I can't enter the green and blue levels. Are they not available yet?

A cute, simple and to the point platformer. The lack of a background noise can be felt when you're repeating levels and the jumping felt a tiny bit stiff, but other than that I find it to be a charming cute game. Thank you for making it!

That's a very nice little, cute and efficient puzzle platformer. The levels are fun and interesting. Took me some time to figure out green and blue but ended up making it ^^

Congrats for your entry and thanks for that experience :)

The main mechanic being shifting the box is fun though usually feels clunky. SFX need work however the art is good. Decent concept overall not bad.

The game froze as soon as I put all the spheres down, so I never got to see what I summoned :( Aside from a few parts that felt a bit too unforgiving, the level design is really well done! The puzzles are interesting, and you did a good job of clearly introducing new elements.
