Summoning for Dummies
Our poor sorcerer is trying to summon the most powerful demon ever. Apparently, it's not so easy. His first attempts only manage to summon small demons that he will have to sacrifice in more and more complex rituals until he can finally invoke the all mighty powerful demon!

How to play:
Herd the little demons and take them to the altar. You can sacrifice them and more powerful demons will appear allowing you to perform a more complex ritual, and so on. When you perform a ritual, enemies might also appear. Your minions will need to work together to kill them.
Controls:
- ASWD and arrow keys - move
- LMB - order minions following you to move or attack
- RMB - recall minions that are close by
- LMB on altar to open
- RMB on altar to close it
- Mouse Scroll on altar to select a different ritual (on mac use R and F)
- V - if you want to skip to the end cutscene
PS: For Mac, after unzipping, you have to right click and press open, so you can authorise the game to be played. PPS: We have included a web build, but we recommend the binary versions as these will provide a better experience. The Web Build can become laggy when there are many minions.
For a better experience, please try the desktop build. The web build isn't optimized - scenes take longer to load, and as more minions spawn the frames drop rapidly. But, it's up to you :)

Changelog:
1.1 16/April
- fixed web build
- fixed enemy spawning outside the navigable area
- fixed stale reference crashes
- fixed minion hp bar

Congrats
the concept is fun, but I've had some trouble finding enought minion to sacrifice, also the music loop end after some times, which is a bit sad given its quality :(
Also, since you're using godot, you could easily make an export to html5 and uploading it to itch.io, making it easier for people to play it !
The animations are awesome, and the addition of the tutorial helps a lot!
It's very polished, fun, cute, and full of character.
Some problems I noticed: sometimes in when summoning, the minions don't place themselves correctly around the altar, and I can complete the ritual, and when I exit the altar they get stuck here. Also, it is hard to choose the ritual on trackpad, because it is way too fast.
Apart from that, very cool! Keep up the good work!
- after a while in the webbuild it gets super laggy and becomes unplayable maybe limit the amount of creatures that can spawn
- at somepoint my summons wouldn't go into the circles anymore since the circles were super stuffed with different summons
- just for some change I would love to see different sounds by the summonings it can get a bit monotone after a while
Very good game for the amount of time we were given! Keep it up :D
While the minions going to their respective spots when summoning is great, I find it to be a bit buggy, as they can easily get stuck on the pedestal and not be able to go to their place.

There is some issue with the animation mixer, possibly trying to access despawned objects or something. It seems to get worse over time to the point of becoming very laggy. The sound also cut off at one point for me never to return (when I exited the fullscreen and gone to record the above footage). Played the web version.
Think you should add one or two frames to the player's walk cycle as now it seems as if they just extend one leg and hop on the other repeatedly.
I felt like my small minions weren't doing much in battles and died a bit too easily. Maybe there could be a weaker enemy type at the beginning to feel more fair or just having some more visible punch to their attacks would make me believe they are trying.
The stepping sound was a bit out of place for me, maybe something more muffled like you are walking on soft grass would work better for the visuals.
When you have no minions following, it is a bit weird to have their sound play when pressing on a spot.
Would be cool to have some cursor appear at the last point you sent your minions.
Overall most of these are small nitpicks and you did a great job! Especially impressive work on getting all the tutorial and intro sequences in and keeping it all so cohesive with such a large team.
The appearance of enemies was a surprise, my poor little ones :(
Sometimes the little demons grouped near the altar stick to it and won't take up space around it, preventing me from summoning.
Cute minions, nice intro animation, perfect music and sound effects, good gameplay. Almost perfection!
My one wish is that you could see how many minions you were supposed to gather for the summoning, when you went out in the wild to find them.
I also had some problems getting the minions to go into their circles.
The only issue is that I was slightly confused at the beginning. I didn't understand that I need to use a mouse wheel to change the ritual :)
When I played enemies didn't attack me and there was no challenge for me then. And also I didn't understand why I need right click, because it did no effect. I tried it when summoning and when gathering minions but I just didn't understand what its purpose.
Also sometimes minons just didn't want to go to summoning positions whatever I do. And to the end of the play tha game's fps droped and it was hard to continue.
Anyway, you did a lot for these 3 days, your game is very cool! Thank you for this!
I enjoyed the game!
