Forklift Frenzy: Limited Space Edition by denvil

You are a forklift operator who must manage a small warehouse. Space is limited but the upper management keeps ordering more useless stuff. And those new orders keep on coming.
If the warehouse gets too small there is a shop where you can exchange boxes for upgrades. Just keep those orders running.

Game ends when rating hits 0. All failed orders will lower ratings and completed will raise it. Complete order by carting correct boxes to platforms. Difficulty is raised every 60 seconds in this version with more boxes or more complicated orders.

Also, really, selling off the boxes to upgrade, grand idea!
I went into the shop with no box and couldn't get out of the shop menu anymore?
Also, the sound effects came a smile to my face. Perfectly fitting but yet they feel so homebrew. Well done!
Cart controls and skidmarks are feel really good and satisfying. Turning the truck around is frustrating, but then again they always are :spy:
The shop was a bit hidden though.
Fun game though
I only tried speed upgrades on my first try. Nice that you also had option & pause menus. On my second try I got stuck in the shop menu unfortunately. I only reached score 800 but it was fun!

- Had a bit of a hard time identifying the walls at the beginning, especially sine I saw one box outside them, which confused me for few seconds.
- The shop was a nice idea, but it felt a little weird pawning of the boxes you were supposed to deliver during your delivery time.
- The chaos and speed of it all wasn't bad, the problem I had was that I didn't know what to do, grab a package and deliver it, but where, there are 3 possible destinations, I didn't have time to figure it out as I felt rushed. Maybe you could giver the player more time at the very beginning to look around, examine and figure out how it works and then crank the difficulty (like a short tutorial, deliver a package to each platform). Another thing you could do it to give the player an arrow indicating where they should go to deliver the package, (I think I figured out how it works afterwards from the screenshots when I had time to process it) like each platform that accepts that box gets an arrow, bigger if it's order is partially completed and maybe give a red tint to incorrectly stashed boxes.
Deceptively addictive.
At first I was a bit confused and sceptical, but as soon as I figured out shop upgrades are very good and how to keep going, I started getting pretty invested.
Feels good to roll around and stack stuff, especially once some upgrades are added.
Aside from getting locked into options menu and shop menu if you haven't finished a request, I would like if delivery was a bit more under my control. I got stuck in last run since I just wasn't getting any greens and everyone kept requesting greens. All I had was stacks of other colors. And by the time I empty the area delivery, the one with greens just disappears and I get 4 reds delivered xD
@crylica thanks
@cyber-puffin I had the shop (not so well marked) with speed upgrades to allow players more swift movement. Max movement is quite hard to control
@powerofsin You hit what I was aiming but my balancing was of. Original idea was to but pressure to clear incoming platform and try to use limited warehouse room to but all boxes there. And then have more relaxed time to fulfil customer orders.
@sisuisa thank you for the comments. Yeah I know about the menu bugs but I am not sure if fixing them would change what I managed to make in compo's time frame. Also I am not quite sure why this happens as it only happens in release version and not in editor version. If I manage to hunt that down maybe I will create post jam version with those fixes and little more balanced version.
