In the game "Ex's Boyfriend's Pursuit" you find yourself in an abandoned house where your ex-boyfriend has turned into a crazy maniac and is sleeping in one of the rooms. Your task is to escape from this nightmare place before it wakes up and discovers your presence.

At the beginning of the game, you are tied with rope and are deprived of freedom of movement. You need to explore the house, find door keys and solve puzzles to free yourself. However, you will have to be extremely careful, since the maniac can wake up at any moment and start hunting for you.

The game gives you the opportunity to use the surrounding objects to create traps, slow down the maniac and ease your path to freedom. Your ability to stealth and make quick decisions will be the key to successfully completing the game.

"Ex's Boyfriend's Pursuit" promises an intense gaming experience that will pump up your adrenaline and test your survival skills in this horrific nightmare created by your ex-boyfriend. nice job! But hard to interact, and good mood surroundings.

Cool concept! I didn't quite figure out how to escape, but it is fun interacting with objects within the room

Creepy. I managed to escape, but it was a bit tricky and not because the "puzzles" were hard. The interaction hitboxes for the doors and locks were tough to actually trigger—I had to walk away and walk back to get it to trigger. It would have been helpful if there was an animation or sound effect or something to indicate when a door wouldn't open because it was still locked or the lock wouldn't open because it was the wrong key. I wish there was at least one puzzle that required a little more thinking, too, but of course that's not easy to put together on a short timeline.

The sound effects felt pretty extreme for how they were used, like what I assume was footsteps sounded like slapping or popping balloons, and dropping a small key made a huge clatter. I guess that's part of the atmosphere, but it was a little confusing (like, "wait, is that supposed to be the sound of me moving?").

The coolest part of this game (other than the anime-style key visual) is the movement animations of the evil ex while he's tossing and turning in his sleep. They're surprisingly plausible but also just a little silly with the way he kind of spins around and clips through the bed.

I'm impressed with anyone who dares to make a fully 3D game in a jam because that just seems like a lot to manage. Nice work getting there!

Great theme! Easy to understand and relevant.
Ex's snoring and sleeping position was so funny lol. I like this!

My problem is I don't know how to interact. I can pick up things on the table and see the door, but what's the next step? I really want to escape this room.

I hope you can come to our team's game! Please leave a comment!(*╹▽╹*)

My limited escape room experience may have hindered me :smile_cat: I found locks but only fruit and utensils to try and open them with. Eventually I wanted to wake up the maniac to see what happens, and well... I found out  Pretty intense game! good job.

hmm, can't get anything to work. camera rotation works, but clicking on anything or keys mentioned in description are completely ignored

Definitely a very tense game. I feel like I might be going crazy but certain things only existed in certain playthroughs? Like I'm convinced the code only existed sometimes, very weird.
