Limited space Under press — is the rhythm-game in which you have to catch a series of balls in a rhythmic sequence that is displayed on the screen. You have 4 game stages and 8 lives, one life is taken away for one miss. Have fun!
CONCEPT What limits your space? We took the psychological-philosophical theme of "limitations of the soul" as a basis. The hardships of life, lack of inspiration, insurmountable fears, addictions and desires, and maybe the body itself? Comedically portrayed different situations and combined it with the genre of rhythm-play.

If you get the hang of it, it turns out well.
Also I remembered Garbage Compactor from Star Wars 4 )
Music matches the atmosphere, although it looks like some hit zones are smaller or just displaced, so as in life, there are things out of your control.
I had fun playing it, it's captivating.
I really struggeled with the timing however, until I saw the first comment. Had to put my finger on the screen to mark the real hitbox, to not get distracted. Afetr that I managed to beat the game. Other than that, nice job!
A bit difficult to get in the game at first (level 1 is a bit too hard), but once you do a great vibe emerges. The uplifting music and animated background creates an immersive, almost trans-inducing experience.
if you add some new levels, it could be a great guitar-hero style minigame.
Cool game, cool assets, good job !
Anyway i will not edit anything in soul of Ludum Dare let it be history.

Great game, but quite difficult, took a few tries. Lovely sounds and graphics, but the area still indeed seems to be very much in front of the hole. Couldn't focus too much on the scene as I was busy watching the balls.
I didn't finish the game, but the music was nice and if the timing issue is worked out, then it's pretty much perfect!
From what I can tell, the timing issues aren't actually because of the hitbox itself, it seems very forgiving
I would guess it's because the hit detection system is just snapping to the *closest* note instead of the *first* note
So if there's a burst of three, if you're even slightly to the left it'll snap straight to the second note, and forget about the first one entirely
You could play it and score game based on jam version. Because jam version still accessible too.
No changes except a bit fixed trigger.
The music and background a neat and stylish, and a good amount of silly!
Would have loved to do a bit more than the given songs.
Perhaps just speeding up (ever more) the existing songs would have been a fun idea?
Regardless, well done, I had fun smashing heads with spacebars.

This was trippy, I enjoyed it.
The lizard stage was my favorite. Nice work!
