I was pleasantly surprised by the complexity of the game! Text, various mechanics, map generation, atmospheric logos and UI - an amazing result for 48 hours. Unfortunately, the web version does not work the best - it is impossible to use ESC to exit the menu, and therefore it's problematic to play in browser. But anyway it was very entertaining! Great job!

Hi! Thank you for playing. You're right about the escape button - it should be fixed now.

a little bit hard to handle at first, but the whole game gets pretty sweet after that period of learning! the map generation is awesome (i love topographic maps), controls are nice and the upgrades are well thought. great job!

i'd love to be able to see what quest i'm currently on tho. or maybe it comes with an upgrade i haven't tried?

Nice map design and surprisingly complex gameplay considering the limited time we had!

@amarokczukay Quests are passive, they're secondary objectives for you to complete just for the sake of it. They are like achievements.
Or if by quests you mean delivery jobs then you can see currently active jobs in the pause menu (when you're in the map view and press escape).

+ Great music
+ Unique zoomed out perspective
+ Insane amount of content
+ Really well designed overall

The driving reminds me of an old swedish childrens game, Mulle Meck Bygger Bilar :-)

Cool game, the procedural map plus the topographical representation is really impressive. Only critique is that as soon as you get the first cargo size upgrade you start getting offered jobs you can't take (or maybe it just worked out that way for me). Also it would be nice to be able to rotate the cargo.

@xinux thanks for the kind words :D I've checked out Mulle Meck Bygger Bilar on YouTube. It looks very very cool, especially the overworld driving stuff :)

@nathmate thank you for the feedback!
- Cargo rotation is something I've wanted to do, but didn't get to it.
- The other thing is that after some amount of delivery jobs, you will get different size cargo - possibly one that you cannot take yet. I wanted it to be that way, so you will have the incentive to upgrade to a bigger cargo hold (that and also doing more than one job at the time). The problem is that it's not balanced well, and that may be frustrating. Something to keep in mind for the future.

This is a really interesting concept and I could see getting into it. I enjoyed the game, but it was a bit too long for me. I'd say the scope may be a bit much for a game jam game. The experience would have been better for me if the map were smaller. I also don't know if there is a way to beat the game. When does it end?

One of my favorite games so far. Really well working mechanics and fun gameplay.

@johnsensei there is no end to the game, you can play indefinitely. Quests are meant as goals that you can achieve during your playthrough, but other then that you play just for the sake of it. Thank you for the feedback :)

Really interesting and polished take on the theme. I found the movement mechanics really neat, and love how you were able to represent a complex (and procedural??) game world so effectively with simple graphics.
I had a bit of trouble with the map experiences in terms of knowing where I was meant to go (both squares being red and some other things with information accessibility) but I gather that was also part of the navigation experience.

Very impressive considering the timeframe - well done.

This was a lot of fun, and surprisingly addictive! I'm impressed by how much complexity you fit into a compo game. One thing that would have been a nice addition is having the camera follow the truck.

Amazing game for a compo. It was easy to understand but has quite some complexity and I am stunned you even managed to get some sort of procedural world generation included within the short time.
You should try and get some more ratings to reach minimum as it would be a shame to leave this entry out of the competition.

I really liked this game! It reminded me of an Oregon Trail type game but you took a unique and interesting spin!

Great game! I feel like charging stations weren't much needed given towns were abundant enough to always easily provide fuel. That, and the time required to save money to maximize the cargo hold, and to 100% the quests, but the fact these were even features in a Compo game is a feat in itself!

I keep thinking I was playing X-Com for how similar the crosshair/reticle looked when it came to its geoscape view. Very nostalgic in that regard.

Impressive, even with the simple graphics it is very realistic and has good sounds. I missed something, because when I leave the first point and recharge at the first blue stop, the next airport is too far and there is no fuel. I didn't really understand what to do, but I know that I was the problem at that point.

@lexyvil difficulty level was deliberate - I didn't want the game to be too hard when people are playing it only for couple of minutes. Current state of charge and charging come into play later in the game when you can make more then one delivery at the same time.

@lincolnsalles theoretically map generator could make it so you cannot reach any town, although I think that's unlikely. There should have been other town in other direction that you could reach. Or it was a map generator bug.

Thank you all for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it :)
