Really interesting how the ants also hid behind barriers and such, fun concept, I must say tho the audio was stimulating me too much to be able to focus on the shooting, otherwise nice art and game!

It's juicy and satisfiying to play. I liked using the grappling hook, but feel like it needs an extra function

The Framerate dies after killing one enemy but I like the overall idea and the graphics are great. But I am not the biggest fan of the aduio, but I think thats a more or less subjective thing :D Still, Good Job Guys!

I like the art and game! The grappling hook feels a bit out of place, but still can be fun to use to fly around the map! Great work!

I have a pretty beefy computer but I was getting a lot of lag if I fired my weapon for more than a second. Let me know if you fix this so I can give this game another shot. Aside from that though, this game has very good gamefeel. The impacts and mucus splatters are very satisfying.

The gameplay is simple but still fun. Maneuvering around those crates to avoid the insects is challenging near the end. The difficulty curve feels just right. The grappling hook is cool but I move so fast I never felt it was necessary. By the time my hook extends to the wall and pulls me in, I could have just moved there.

@jarn0r @zungryware hmmm thanks for reporting that, I've never had issues with the web build. Tried mac/windows (both pretty beefy computers) on chrome/firefox/edge/safari.

In any case, I just uploaded a windows build so try that if you like? Thanks for playing / your comments :-)

Cool and classic take on the theme. I liked the addition of the grappling hook. Weirdly enough I really like how the end game screen looks. Overall I think this is a great entry, nice work!

Man, this game is intense! I love the splatter effects. Great job!

@benk Ah, I didn't notice the Windows build. If I were you, I would remove the web build if everyone is having these issues. Better that people don't play a laggy version of your game.

Plays better, but I'm now wishing the difficulty ramped up faster. Since you spend the entire game doing the same thing, it gets repetitive to play a bunch of easy waves before getting to the challenging ones.

Man I loved the game feel - movement, assault rifle and grappling hook. Very smooth! Didn't find myself using the grappling hook much though perhaps with more playtime I'd discover some techniques. Great little core loop, wish there was more!

The doomguy movement is really awesome. the game is fun as hell. I just had a little performance issue and the framerate was dropping. Overall it is a strong entry. congrats.

Framerate stuttered every time the blood splatter happened. Aside from that, the game ran really smooth and felt satisfying to play. Good job animating the bugs. If the environment had been more dynamic with moving walls, the gameplay would have more longevity, but for one round, the game was pretty fun! Nice reverb on the audio.

I was very impressed with the title art and how smooth the movement felt. I was only able to get ot 450 points before the game stopped spawning enemies, at this point I still had over 85% health so I wish there were more waves of bugs. Great LD 54 game!

Great ld54 entry in my opinion.

I really liked the very dynamic movement using the grappling hook, I also like doom eternal very much and the movement felt similarly dynamic so huge congrats on that. The little spiders were quite hard to get but i loved the game.

I especially loved the art and the spiderblood that stayed on the ground looked very nice.

However I think audio could use a bit of improvement especially the gun sound, that was bothering me so much and how much it went off i had to mute the game. Otherwise,

Congrats.

Think I was supposed to die with 0% health, as nothing kept spawning anymore  ![Untitled.png](///raw/e0a/z/5f84e.png)
Real fun shooter, I think audio just lagged/messed up a bit on the web version.

I had a great time but got overwhelmed by the small bugs. I like the splatters everywhere and the grappling hook is really handy sometimes. I would love more types of ennemies.

Fun game! I love all these little details like camera shake and blood splats. It really contributes a lot to game feel. Also I've noticed that bugs sometimes try to move away from line of fire which is cool! And waves progression is great with high peaks and relaxation afterwards. Nice job!

It feels little bit easy because of amount of enemies. Impact of weapon is amazing

This reminded me of the late 90s/early 00s one room top down shooters! Very well made and for once the character moves fast enough

Couple of improvement suggestions:
* The waves could come faster because there's no powerups or pickups to collect between them
* You could have either autoshoot or some kind of reload mechanic, right now I didn't see any reason to not press shoot.
* You should have those pickups!

With a bit of metagame, new weapons etc, this could be a pretty fun hyper hardcore game for Steam!

Second shooter I play now and this one make also a lot of fun, very fast und cool atmosphere, love the background art. But also have the problems with the framerate in the browser version. Reminds me of Crimsonland, the spiders look quite similar.

Great arcade-type game and fast paced. Loved the design, only critique is similar to a previous one: wish grapple had an extra function like throwing enemies or dmg to them. Great work!

Had a lot of fun playing this! Gameplay was very fun and i really liked the graphics. Unlike some others i had no issue with the frame rate, but at one point the game did just stop sending enemies so thats probably a bug (haha bug pun)

At first I thought "what's so limited space about this", but when the aliens start really swarming you at around 400 points, you really wish you had more space to run away ^^

This has a lot of old school web flash games enegry. Very fun and quite frantic later on as the bugs are so fast. I wish the little ones had a bit more color to them, they can get quite hard to see once the floor is covered in enough guts.
