Animal Teleporting by JamesW
TLDR - To place animals on teleport points, click to choose, press WASD or ↑←↓→ to move.
Hello guys,
Welcome to the Animal Teleporting game!
This is a PUZZLE game. Several animals are traveling together and the way of their transportation is teleport. Help them reach teleport points so that they can visit the next place together!
NOTE: If you can't see the level info panel on the top in HTLM5 version, you can click FULLSCREEN button to expand the window.
Objective
- You goal is to ensure EVERY animal is on AT LEAST ONE teleport point in each level.
- There are 13 levels in total.
Gameplay
- Click any animal to select, then press W/A/S/D or Up/Left/Down/Right to move them.
- Each animal has their compatible terrains (where they can stay), see the “√” mark in tooltips.
- Some animals may be constrained by some special rules, if any, the rules will be showed in tooltips as well.
Tips
- The status that all teleport points are occupied is NOT a required condition in ANY level for completing the level.
- Use Undo/Redo buttons if needed instead of restarting the level.
- Remember: this is a crowded world, so animals are easily be blocked by each other, be careful!

Thanks for this entry :D
This is a well entry for LD jam.
Pros
- Some levels are really well designed and satisfying to solve
- Nice music and coherent visuals
- 🦀Crab is the best animal🦀
Cons
- Some levels are a little too big and cluttered. I like puzzles that are small, with a new twist to it. My favourite puzzles are when there are so little options that it looks impossible until it clicks. Bigger puzzles mean there's more steps to go through, so it can slow down pacing.
- The UI to indicate what animals can walk on is too big. I think little icons would work. Seeing it every time I select an animal is weird.
- Deer >:( 🦌🚌
Overall fun, mini puzzle game. Well done!
Congrats, that's a nice entry!
Great job!
Interesting take on the theme
There is a way to improve, to push the player further. There is something interesting in the game.
Good job team
This little puzzle game is well polished GG ! :)
(Bug?: When I finished level 13 I pressed restart and that worked but the pop up didn't go away until I refreshed)
Had to gave up at the last level :D
@cloverfall @tmpxyz @martta Thanks, we tried our best to design these levels to fit our "game jam" difficulty curve :D
@herman6006 @noagard @rusu-gabriel Yeah, we played the game again and we also feel the move SFX was really loud and made us mad! We'll definitely replace it!
@crylica Totally agreed! This story is kind of a random idea appearing in our brain. Guiding them to den/home is a much better story and makes much more sense.
@leo-lin Good point! I think animations will help reduce the dullness when playing.
@qdyer Thanks for loving it! That's a great point to improve the UX. We'll work on it.
@ynnon Thanks for liking it!
@spica Yeah, level 9 and 13 are designed to be relatively challenging. The loud annoying SFX will be removed :D
@magalix The last one is not as hard as it seems. It just looks complicated. I bet you could solve it if you take a try :D
@themixedmaster Your comment is also perfect 5/5 to us  So happy to see you enjoyed it!!! We'll add a TAB for switching animals. And yes, you're right, it's a challenge not bug, seriously :sunglasses:
There's a big variation in the movement rules, but it's introduced gradually to make a nice learning curve. I also liked that you didn't make just a single rule per animal, mixing them was a nice choice. It added a lot of stuff to consider while taking your path, but remembering all the rules makes solutions (or at least parts of solutions) instantly come to mind when you focus on a specific part of the map, so it wasn't too difficult.
All the graphics are nice (though the croc is probably my favourite :P), and the mellow music allows you to focus on thinking.
Not much more for me to say here, other than I agree with others who said it would be nice to have a way of selecting animals via keyboard, though I think instead of a single button it would be better to make it two buttons for previous / next animal - I found myself switching back and forth between animals several times, so it would be better to have a button to go back than having to cycle through them all.

@compasslg Thanks for playing and feedback!
@lincolnsalles Yeah, sometimes puzzle is time-consuming. We totally understand. Thanks for spending your precise time playing the game and sharing your thoughts! :D
@lupercalia So glad to see you like our pixel art for the animals and have fun! As for the moving sound, I curse it, I swear! Thanks for playing and loving our art! :hearts:
Well done! Take a candy! :candy:
@hagamosvideojuegos Thanks for playing and feedback! And a big thank to your candy! Nom nom, it's yummy :smile_cat:
@lupercalia So glad to see you've completed all the levels! I must say: you have a good sense for progress/difficulty of games. To tell the truth, we were trying to design some really challenging levels, but it's more for very experienced puzzle players and designing was very time-consuming, so we decided to focus more on making the difficulty curve friendly to everyone but not too easy. We wanted to make every player feel like they could conquer everything including these levels. And you, one of the players, got all the key points of our design. So, I judge, your taste, is player-wise, perfect! 😎 Seriously, really really appreciate it for two feedbacks with lots of details and thoughts, your comments made my day 😸
@knightgames Yeah, easy to understand and play is our ultimate design goal, to let as many as players enjoy puzzles even they're not puzzle guys :D
@justking144 Thanks for playing and feedback. Yeah, there are some deceptive traps in puzzles, we hope you enjoyed them :D As for the hippo, I guess you're saying level 11, since it's a challenging level mainly designed with hippo's ability.
But the concept is pretty cool well done :D
@stormsword Thanks for playing and feedback! Sorry to hear you got stuck at some level (I guess). But it's not as difficult as it seems to be, I swear! Feel free to come back and give it another try if you happen to change your mind :D
@quoclon Thanks for playing and liking it! Yeah, level 4 is designed to be the first challenge of all levels. **(Spoiler Warning)** Here is some very implicit hint if you would like to know, just try to find which animal must end on which teleporter, then store the clumsy one at the corner a bit while moving others.
The game introduced new animals / mechanics in a way that was easily learnable. Also, the animals' tooltips were useful.
@antonijmark Thank you for playing and feedback!
