Escape The Walls by purplexy
In the game "Escape the walls", you play as a ninja!
All enemies are dead, villages do not need ninjas' protection anymore, there is no work for us. To keep society alive, our leaders decided to rob people, so we have just become the power from which we were protecting others in the past.... but is it a true ninjas' way?
Unfortunately, you belong to the ninja society and you can't leave without consequences. Just try to run and they will find and probably kill you, but there is one and only way to freedom. This dungeon. We never heard someone survive it, but if you do, you have the right to live freely. The walls are closing in fast, so be quick!

(also the walls crushing you into a wall in the maze doesn't kill you, just pushes you through them)
well scoped so not a lot of critique.
music fit well .
my eyes at the end :(
you managed to fit a lot of interesting ideas into the game like red light green light and the frogger?(never played) level with the wood planks
It was pretty fun :)
The dashing also felt a bit weird since you had to walk while activating it, otherwise the character would dash on a spot. This made the level where you jump over the logs very hard, I often walked into the acid my accident.
The very tall player hitbox made it difficult to navigate the arrow sections, and once I got hit by an arrow the knockback bounced me into another arrow, then into another arrow, killing me quite fast.
The last level was a bit unintuitive, maybe you could add some NPC characters that move during the green light, but freeze once it shows red, to tell the player they should do the same.
For these "pulling" thingies, it would help to show some particles to instantly grasp their effect and their range.
I do like the pixel art a lot, and you managed to put out very different levels there, it never felt repetetive! I also like the simple, yet effective idea of the walls closing in. Well done!
Loved the variaty of mechanics in the game, that green-red area got me quite stressed and pigeons helped me relax (I won't say what happened to them, maybe they survived)
The acid pool raft level took quite a few tries to line the dashes just right, I feel like the rafts should stop you, anything to help a little bit, otherwise it feels a little unfair.
The ninja's hitbox extends to his whole body, which is less than ideal for this kind of perspective, the hitbox should cover his lower half, otherwise there'll be issues with the arrows hitting him when he's clearly standing before them.
Other than that, definitely a fun little game!

I like the ending, it seems like there could be a sequel for it.
