Craftship Ltd. by pixel-fabian

Craftship Ltd.

Your job at Craftship Ltd is to equip starships. After thousands of years of peace there was no need to build any military craft.

So the stockpile of laser cannons, shields and other structures is quite lacking, unordered, messy. The grabber is not fully functional and thus limited in grabbing and placing stuff, not to mention the limited space of the starship itself.

Still you can do it. You have to ... an alien armada is about to invade your world!

Grab ship structures from the supply area, rotate if needed and place them on the ship. Be efficient. We need a strong ship, with lots of laser cannons, shields, hullplates, and most importantly, an efficient grid of power to be fully functional!

Fun and very interesting game, ive never seen anything quite like it, mechanics are simple to understand while not making it too easy. Good job!

Quite liked this game, spent a good 20 minutes playing it when i was meant to be resting haha, very fitting to the theme, and visuals were appealing and a rather unique premise. If this was taken to a full release I'm curious what you'd add to it with a less limited time scope, very glad to see good games such as this come from jams :)

It's an interesting combinaison of puzzle game, and crafting ship, it can be a mini game in a bigger spatial game. that's a good job and an interesting way to interprete the theme.

Very interesting game! The rules are very simple, but it actually requires some thinking to be able to play it through! I love it so much. I think it's somewhat similar to our game but VERY COOOL!

This is really cool. A spaceship builder with a buggy grabber makes for an interesting puzzle game.

After releasing the version for the Jam, now is finally time for more playtesting. Highcore calculation needs definitly some tweaking afterwards. What are your highscores so far?

This is a unique and fun take on the theme. It took me a few tries to really get the hang of it, but once I did it was really fun trying to come up with strategies to make the most out of the space I had. Great entry, nice job!

Took a couple attempts to figure it out, but I got a score of 140. Really interesting game with a lot of strategy involved. It would probably help the game feel more "alive" if there was a little bit of movement on the screen and maybe some ambient music.
Overall, though, it's a pretty cool game!

Nice puzzle at the core. Was a bit unclear but once I started it clicked quickly. The RNG tile generation is a bit mean but it makes for some interesting decisions. Good job on the game!

Nice simple concept with a fair bit of complexity emerging out. The RNG is a bit domineering, having some tools to deal with it would make it feel less brutal. In particular considering how important power lines are they feel like they should be more common. It would also be nice if you can overlay tiles of the same type on top of each other, instead of only empty spaces.

Loved the wheeeoooooow wheeeoooooow.

THANK YOU very much for your great feedback. We appreciate that much, since we want to expand and polish our game after the jam. We have so many ideas to improve it.

I have a request, @zwikkelbaard @sotaroni @robowarrior1982 @ding @daniel-grinshpon @don-fouts @maxim-cebotaru @dennis-magnusson @gastricsparrow @nathmate :

Would you kindly rate the graphics for this game, too, if you have rated the game already?
Due to a mistake we opted out of this category, although all pixel art is made by us.
We opted in again now and we appreciate you much if you would take your time to rate this category, too. Thank you so much!

Nice! I liked that you couldn't pick up just one piece at a time, you have to carefully plan which exact pieces you pick up and where they go to get a high score. After literally no other sounds ion the game, that loud sound effect when you placed something made me jump.

Great take on the limited space! Controls felt really easy to grasp (partialy becouse we had the same controls in our games lmao), grahpics are clean, very nicely done! RNG might need a bit of a tweaking, becouse it you are going for high score it may be wery frustrating to get only three lazer turrets or not to get any power-blocks (the ones that give 5 score when powered). This way it's a bit frustrating to know you may need to restart just becouse of bad luck. Did not stop me from trying to get 260+, witch i did in about half an hour . Also got funny high score duplication glitch, but as long as it's my best one - no complaints

Overall - very solid entry, had lots of fun playing it

very cool puzzle game, challenging and easy to understand, would love to see a second iteration where you actually get to see your abomination fight

This is a good take on the theme. I loved the mechanics of how the scores was calculated. The negative scoring made me think more about each step. The art is also great and soothing for the game. One minor complaint would be no music. Well done on this entry! (From your animal friends:elephant::monkey:)

Simple on the surface, but there is a more depth in the decision making when you start playing, which is always a good sign of good game design.

Nice limited space puzzle game, the graphics work well with it too. It needs some background music to give it some atmosphere. I had fun playing it though, good work!

I did not understood at first try than the grabber grabbed elements 4 by 4. As soon I had this information, I really enjoyed the game. Good job !

Interesting game concept. Loved the artstyle. A shame the game doesn't have more audio.
