The Deliverer by automatonvx
The Deliverer
You are a hardworking delivery driver for an obscure multinational, sadly the inevitable zombie apocalypse has arrived. Its time to grab your trusty crowbar and deliver those poor survivors from the hands of the zombies.
3 handmade levels of low resolution twin stick pixel action
Controls
Mouse/Keyboard
WASD or arrow keys to move and mouse to aim, left click to use your weapon and right click to dash
Gamepad
Left stick to move, Right stick to aim, Right Trigger to use weapon, Left Trigger to dash
Personally I find it more fun with gamepad, but should be fine either way
Updates
- Added a webgl build on itch io, seems to work just fine - no actual game changes.

Here's my playthrough (I failed setting up obs on this one so it's cropped a bit weird)

Graphics are appealing and the music is upbeat and fits the gameplay. It was fun getting new weapons and rescuing the damsel in distress. Not sure how it fits the theme, aside from the brief explanation, however. Even so, a solid entry. Nice work.
Some levels I struggled because I could not find a gun, which meant I lost a lot of life to all the zombies being so upclose. I also think some more game feel could help, such as screenshakes or more satisfying shooting particles, stuff like that.
All in all really solid submisison though! very nicely done :D
Felt super good to play, it felt very satisfying to mow down zombies. I also felt there was a nice rhythm to it, both with the crowbar and the gun, it felt like a careful dance. The different varieties of zombies helped shake things up, those were great.
Very well-designed game, great job!
It was hard to tell where I was aiming since there is no reticle for exactly what direction the bullets will come out. I ended up playing really slowly because I couldn't reliably hit enemies when I needed to. (I used gamepad controls.)
I also didn't use the dash at all. I only found out I had it in level 3 and still didn't find a use for it afterwards.
