You are Delittah, and every autumn, you come to the village in the trees to try and alleviate some of the troubles that those moving beings keep on making.

Too bad writing yourself is so tiring! You can only manage to send yourself to one of them each day.

Loved the graphics and the cozy mood of the game! The only detail that threw me off was the sound glitch that happened when clicking the button to send. Great work :)

Great atmosphere. Liked the relaxed graphical style with soft colours and low contrast. Sound design was great too with the woodland sounds etc.

Lovely vibe. I can't believe I didn't think of delivering letters, but I guess that's a unique way of interpreting the theme. Moreso, I really liked being a sort of mental therapist for these people who need help so much. I do have to admit I'm not too sure whether my choices have any effect other than the header paragraphs. But it was beautiful nonetheless. (+ I really like that they all use magic somehow.)

I really loved the graphics, they are so cute and soft! It fits the mood of the game, as well as the sounds, great job on that!

Nice little cosy game ^^
The art is fantastic and the sound design is really comfortable to listen to. I love that the characters feel alive.
Great job!

P.S. I dont want to be a nitpicker or anything, but one has to be abit careful with swearing, so maybe it can help to add on the page, that it includes "swearing", tho thats really not a big deal, just pointing towards it ^^

Whoah, such a nice little game, I love the mood and music, and you guys didn't lie about the replay-ability, I wanted to know all about everyone! Good job on the writing too, cause the three of them were really intersteting.
Well done !

Beautiful pixelart, beautiful mood, lovely aesthetic and polish.

I... just couldn't quite figure out... what I was, though? I am apparently a being that 'sends myself' to people I can watch? And apparently the things I can eat include apples, feathers, and leaves? Am I the tree? Am I the letters? Am I a person? Am I some kind of divine or spiritual entity, or a figure from like a legend or myth I'm supposed to already know? What about my nature makes it so that I 'return every autumn'? It feels like there's a lot of context or lore I'm missing!

The quality-of-life features were pretty great, though. Very happy that I could fast-forward text by clicking a second time.

I wish I could have just- written letters to each of them, rather than having to pick whose story I got to see in its entirety. I'm not sure what the choice adds to the game and by dividing my attention between the three tree-dwellers I felt like I couldn't get a full understanding of any of them.

Overall, though, great work!

As others have mentioned, this really is a gorgeous experience. The soundscape _really_ matches the tone of the characters, and the art is just so cute! I'm not sure I understood what was trying to be communicated, but I did enjoy exploring the little tree town and its folx. Thank you for the relaxing experience! :tada:

What a beautiful and atmospheric game. I totally 'zenned out' when playing it. The only small thing that took me out of the experience was the lag when send the letters, but hey it's a jam!
You can all be really proud of this entry, great job!

Oh this is incredible. I am in love with the artwork and I was immediately drawn into the idea of discovering the characters' stories and trying to help them. It was such a nice experience. The sounds are also so relaxing, I could listen to it all day.

One confusion for me was the backstory, who/what I was and why I was sending letters and eating things before. but the idea of channelling certain feelings into the letter was really cool!

I mostly chose Kazzie's story though because it felt like she needed it most, I'm not sure how the others develop over time but I did not especially feel like I could bring them something. But all 3 characters were really cool and I'm really impressed with the overall game. Congratulations!

Really relaxing and cute, I spend a good time playing your game ! I like the art, the sound, the charadesign... I wish it was longer with little day-to-day life scenes, also I think some sounds according to the people you were reading the mind of could have been really nice !

You did a great job in three days, congrats <3

First off starting the game the presentation is top-notch, the restricted color schemes are so nice to look at and the varied ambiance really gets me into the scene. From the characters I was first drawn to Kazzie and my first playthrough I focused almost exclusively on them, only interacting with others in case I could motivate them to meet. You were able to communicate the personalities and struggles of each character in a really varied way and getting to know them felt great.

Like some other commenters I was a bit confused of what "I" was in the game but I like the ambiguity

!> it felt like the three items were things you'd encounter living in the tree and "sending yourself" would make the recipient stumble upon the object, eliciting the feelings represented by the object, but that goes against the characters stating that they received a physical letter :D

Implementation-wise I thought it was smart to separate the replies into two feelings, each corresponding to one paragraph to make the combinations. Great experience all around!

I love the pixelart and sound! It's a super good vibe.

Learning about the people was intriguing. I was a little confused if what I chose to send them had an impact? But It was a nice relaxing game to sit back to.

I was quite lost on what was actually happening, whether things have an impact or mattered. I didn't realize you could read multiple peoples thoughts but only write one letter.

Your art and music were quite nice though.
Grizembrrr
04. May 2023 · 21:45 UTC
@wolfier We're sorry you felt lost in you game experience... >_< About the impact, it does have one to a certain extend, depending on the characters. But thank you for your comment, we sure would like to add more feedback of your choice on the characters' thoughts!
And you're right about reading everybody's thougths but not being able to send them letters, it can be frustating or overwhelming, we're working on that too!

@misscafeina Thanks a lot for the feedback! The sound turned out to have some glitches yes, I think our prog said there were bugs with Godot HTML5 exports? Anyways we hope it didn't alter your experience too much, thanks for the comment

@twowolf Indeed, choices do have an impact on the character storylines, but we didn't have enough time to make that very clear for the player, so it's very normal that you had this concern  Thank you for your comment, we're glad you still liked the game!

@jona-scheidig @boeruchan Oh wow, we didn't think that swearing might be a problem at all! Probably because we're French and swearing is a lot more normal here. We'll make sure to be careful about this in our future games  Thanks a lot for the comments!

@samoussa We were so glad to read your comment about our game!! At some point during the jam we had doubts about whether some people would actually profit from the replayability, so... at least one person did :smile_cat:

@zerovirus @adele-illustration I guess I have to tell you this story: actually, we pitched the game as "you play a letter that has to choose who they visit every day", but after 2 hours of developing the concept, our GD was like: "Wait...... when all of you say _you are the letter_... you really mean it??? but everyone is going to be sooo confused"   and then it became a running gag during the whole jam that nobody was going to understand what the main character was  So, yeah... that's why you were confused I guess. Thank you for the comments

@protowlf Haha, nice, we're currently trying to make it even more intriguing but we'll update these features after the ratings ;-)
As for the impact, there is one, but it is very light for now. We have planned on adding more event corresponding to what you've sent them and thus create full narrative arcs, also edit the text of the events depending on how you made them feel with your letters. Thanks for playing ~

@shiiro-10psi Thanks for the feedback. In fact we didn't have enough time to implement as much feedback on your choices as we wanted 😣, but it does already have an impact! We're working on it thoough, to released a full version of the game 😊

@bqq Oh my goddess!!! Thank you for your comment and feedback 😊💌 Haha, yes about the main character we think it would be ideal to eventually add a intro cinematic where we picture the letter as a entity waking up every autumn to help the Heaventree people with their struggles 🔮🪄

Having the characters interacting is really something we want to implement!! Although we wrote some meeting events we sadly didn't have time to implement them in the game yet, but in future updates we hope to make it happen 😃😉

I wasn't sure that it would be consistent to write the letters with the combining system, thus I'm glad you liked the feature ~

Nice game! The graphics are great and together with the sounds they create an awesome atmosphere.

I wasn't really sure what my role and goal were. Maybe it was just me, but it was a bit hard to understand what the consequences of sending and not sending letters to the people were.

However I like the idea and had fun playing :)

I am amaized by the details you managed to implement. The graphics and sound design were breath taking, especially the different treehouse-designs were beautiful. I could relate to the teacher who got overwhelmed by live now and then most. I could not figure out how the character-storys really went on, because I read each thoughts each day to choose who needs help most. Usual I decided for Kazzie, each once for the workerhollic and the teacher, but it felt like it all didn't help much. Last but not least it was an enjoyable experience. Just as others I did not fully understand what "I" was, but I liked the idea of putting special emotions into those letters...
Also I like your running gag how the main character was developed xD

@alyd-asmar Lol I can totally understand the situation of running with an idea that seems totally self-explanatory in your minds and realising deep into the jam that it was maybe not going to be that obvious for everyone else 😆

Fantastic job with the graphics and visual style! The day/night transition was gorgeous. It was interesting to hear the thoughts of the people, and I thought the idea of sending them letters to help was very sweet. I couldn't tell if I was doing things right though, and it seemed like things didn't really change when I sent them letters.

Great vibes here! The art and music are both great. It was fun to interact with all the characters---some of the letters maybe could have used a bit of editing, but I was able to understand them all fine so it's not a huge issue.
