An Sokoban puzzles game
*The Neutral Sanatorium is home to a diverse range of patients, from wounded human warriors to slimes with swords protruding from their backs. Despite their battle wounds, they all share a common desire to die as soldiers. *
*This is because they belief only a glorious death in battle can earn them a place in Valhalla. Those who die in bed or from old age will be swept away from the gates of Valhalla. *
*Monsters have their own Valhalla ! *
:mortar_board: Guide
* Each creature has a unique life, attack and defence. When two creatures are pushed into the same square, they fight, subtracting the difference between their attack and defence power from each HP. *
* The aim is to send all creatures to their Valhalla at the level ! *

√ Push weapons and equipment onto creatures as a way to strengthen them and gain higher abilities before sending them to their deaths.
√Use mechanisms such as conveyor belts and buttons to solve puzzles and reach your final destination.
√Go and make a cup of coffee and then come back and enjoy this game.
*√Leave us a good rating. *
:x: Ban list :
× Leave units of any of the forces on the level: then they will die of old age in grief at not being able to enter the Hall of the Spirits!
× Kill them with your own hands: you're a staff member, not a killer! (mostly we don't do this either)
*× Find out who really compelled them to be so fanatical: trust me, some things are better left unknown ...... *

and really well executed 🧡
i just wish i could resize the window since it's really small on a 4k screen
Nice work 👍
...oh and the game is really cool.
Enjoyed the puzzles and jokes alike.
We will work on fixing this issue and perhaps release a 4K exclusive version haha.
Speaking of which, I haven't had a screen with 4K resolution before, which has become a blind spot in my game design, and I haven't paid attention to all hardware users. Thank you for the reminder!:cake:
## Valhalla!!!!
…oh I haven't purchased health insurance so let's not fight, let's live in peace!
Just kidding, thank you for playing and responding!
I invite you guys to test out my game too! Cheers.
I checked out your game, and the art and animation are amazing! I hope everyone who sees this post can go check out Luriq's game. Cheers!!
The art is great, and the music fits well with the theme. Cool game!
Indeed, in push box games, this kind of problem of not being able to go back often occurs. We initially thought of a solution to add an "undo button". However, compared with traditional push box games, there are too many data saved in our game, and even undoing would resurrect creatures. So unfortunately, we were unable to complete this feature within the limited time. In the next competition/or the official version of this game, we will try our best to add this function to avoid the situation where the box is stuck against the wall.
Thank you again for your praise!
Level designs are up to the mark by not making it too difficult or too easy!!
The music was a banger and sfx too!!
Very Good submission!!
Also, play my game!!!!!!
Your robot game is also great!!
I'm playing it now!!
Love the new take on Sokoban. Everytime I go into a sokoban game, I always thought that there is no way that this genre can have new ideas. I was wrong about Baba is you, and I was also wrong about Patrick's Parabox. Similarly I was wrong about this.
I think there are some nice ideas here that can be explored further.
Thanks for the game. :)
Only thing I didn't like was how the music restarts during a cutscene, when you restart a level, on the level select, etc. It's a bit jarring. Consistently playing music would've definitely been better.
Other than that, this was a solid entry!

I really like your twist on the sokoban where merge upgrades into the mobs thats a very nice twist to the puzzle. Great work!
Thank you for your feedback.
Implementing the undo feature is complex, and we didn't have time to complete it. We will add it in the future official version. Please stay tuned.
Also, regarding the issue of the loop being too short, we investigated and found a bug, which we have fixed. We apologize for any bad game experience and thank you and other players for letting us know.
The art and music is so good, great job.
Gameplay is tight and easy to understand, I loved the pre-level cutscene!
Great work team!
Definitely could've gotten farther had I put more time into it, but I backed out of the game to get back to the title screen (tried through the pause menu to return to title and skip the level), only to find out I need to beat each level to progress. Great job, I might come back to this to try my hand at where I got stuck again; keep it up!
(I've got a problem with puzzle games where I get so caught up on an idea I have that by the time I actually have enough knowledge to finish the puzzle, I'm still stubbornly caught up on my last idea, effectively dooming my ability to get through the problem. That's how I think if that gives you any insight on why I got stuck!)
Game is fun, good job!
there are some things that can use improving though so here is my other feedback about things I wish were done differently: first the LD page is really detailed, and I appreciate the time put into it, but it felt like a wall of text to go through, I kinda just wanted to start the game and get into the fun but the guide was a little long, could be just me. same thing goes for the dialogue at the start, I know you wanted to establish the backstory but it felt a little too long and I couldn't read all of it at some point, but again maybe that's just my eagerness to play the game :)
all in all this was a really nice twist on the theme especially when you consider how most games are repetitive ideas of pizza delivery lol, and the levels were well designed! so nice work on this game!
On all of the really important things though, y'all did really well! The game was super fun and funny.
On a side note, the character animation in your personal introduction is very adorable. Also, I enjoy memes too. However, I'm not very skilled at using them. Let's imagine there's a "happyhappyhappy cat" here.
Regarding the LD page, I have to admit that it might be a bit lengthy. While my programming friend was busy building the game, I had already prepared the art assets and music materials. In my free time, I started writing them, which might have made it a bit too long. However, perhaps due to my perfectionism, I worry that my players may "not be able to grasp all the content immediately." That's why I listed them one by one.haha.
Regarding the game background story, I am considering reducing its length and aligning it with the current level. This way, players can start thinking about how to play the current level while reading. Additionally, in the full version, I plan to add a skip story button, allowing players who don't enjoy text-heavy content to quickly proceed with the gameplay.
In conclusion, I sincerely appreciate you playing my game and sharing your thoughts and suggestions (which were quite extensive!). Your praise has given me even more motivation, and I am truly happy about it! I also wish you a wonderful day ahead.
Actually, let me tell you a little secret. On the first night, I was feeling restless and anxious because I was worried about going in the wrong direction (I was contemplating if there could be a better game mode). And when there were only six hours left until the end of the competition, I started to feel anxious about whether I could make this game perfect in time. It even caused me stomach pain and bloating (but later, eating some food made me feel better). So, maybe I didn't have that much aplomb, haha. But anyway, in the end, I did it! Now it's time for me to show off a bit! (So, my friend, the most important thing is to believe in yourself! I think you can do it too!)
I'm super happy I managed to finish a complete gaming experience in the time allotted too! I also reined myself in and didn't get scope creep get the better of me. I made a list of the things I needed to add in order of priority, but also knowing me, I allowed periods of time where I just wanted to create art or work on the game's page layout instead, not as vital but at least I was doing something constructive still! I don't always feel like coding the game or adding new features etc..
The difference between out games is that yours is a well thought-out puzzle game where every level is specifically custom-created by you with love and care. Mine is one infinite level that doesn't change. Sure the types of gifts that spawn increases but it's still much lower scope than yours. I'm still super happy and proud though, and thank you for your advice! <3
PS: Don't worry, my friend. They will enjoy their blissful time in Valhalla!
I just checked out your game! It's fantastic! I really love the adorable little goblin! (But he's definitely a cute and mischievous little rascal.) I also noticed that you created very detailed tutorials for your game, and according to what you mentioned on your page, most of the game content was done by you alone! I think you truly embody aplomb!
Keep up the great work, and I wish you continued success in your future endeavors! <3
I'm going to take a short nap, so I might reply later.UWU
I'm also quite active on here during jams, replying to messages and playing lots of other people's games <3
Oh you hadn't played my game yet? I'm glad you enjoyed it! <3
Thank you for playing/rating if you did <3
Aww thank you, yeah, I'm not so musically-taleneted. Even with detailed tutorials people still don't always know what to do.. I'll integrate them better next time!
Thank you so much! Don't nap too long, voting ends in 6 hours! Although we won't get the results for another 21 hours. Have a good sleep!
Valhalla!!!!!!!,lol
Nice art, music and unique take on the theme. Nice gameplay, but it sorta reminded cause of the layout a bit of a strategy game more so. GG c:
Having so much time and energy to interact with others and experience games is truly admirable!
I think your game tutorial is already very comprehensive. If people still don't understand, maybe creating a few image tutorials on the LD page or game release page would be even better? (Just my personal opinion, but I really think your tutorial already guides players step by step on how to play).
By the way, I have a little surprise for you! Check out the comments section of your game!
(*^▽^*)
In addition to the in-game tutorial, I also put instructions (series of images) in-game and on the LD and itch.io pages!
Oh my gosh, thank you SO MUCH for the adorable art! I guess this is my first ever fan art for a video game I've made! <3 Thank yooooou!!!
