The character designs are charming and adorable, and the game mechanics have a delightfully exaggerated sense of fun. It felt awesome when I defeated a monster and got a huge hat.

Cute art, seeing a huge stack of hats on top of my head was fun and walking around/shooting felt very smooth. The combat didn't feel super impactful as enemies didn't react at all when hit and projectiles felt slightly underwhelming. (though it's cool how different hats attack your shot types!) Getting hit by a single bullet instantly respawning you (when not wearing a hat) felt a little jarring. The music and sound effects were nice as well and I appreciate the fully functional audio menu with multiple sliders =) Fun project!

Great game concept for the jam, and I like the cute character models. The giant towers of hats made me laugh, but I think I ended up freezing my game at the end when I spammed throwing a ton of hats at spider girl!
Great entry!

Fun game! Wish the camera would zoom out so I could see all my hats!

Would've loved to get a stat panel or something to tell what each of the hats did. At the start of the game the enemies seemed to die quite easily but eventually they took quite long to go down. And I had no idea if you were supposed to collect more for yourself or try to get through the game as fast as possible. Some of the hats also felt a bit weird shooting in extremely inconvenient ways and being two shots away from a reset made it more frustrating.

Overall a good jam game but could've used a bit more polishing.

Hats! I was hoping that having multiple hats would combo the abilities but they didn't seem too. Still very cool!

Great concept for a collection-based game, had some difficult moments where I tried to decide whether to hold onto my hats or add them to my growing collection back at my home base. Only thing I can think to mention is that when I went to the snowy area to the left of the base it became nearly impossible to see the text for when the next wave was coming. A black border around the text would've helped a lot. Still, overall a fun little game, well done!

Really fun game! I collected several hats, I think this idea goes really well with the theme, was interesting to collect hats due to the different perks that they gave! Music is really catchy!

@mistagiggles Hey thanks for playing and for the feedback! We just pushed up a patch with some critical bug fixes so hopefully that crash is resolved now :)

The hat-throwing mechanic feels like it needs work. It's very hard to actually hit a Capling with them, and when I tried speaking to the spider girl after throwing her some hats, the game froze. It was also very unclear at the very start what I was meant to be doing or where I was meant to be going, as there were no enemies in the immediate vicinity and no indication of where they were. A minimap or something might help with that.

I don't think I was really able to play enough of this to be able to give it a fair score, but it looks promising enough.

somehow a bit challenging and definitely a fun game to play !
Had a bit of trouble at the beginning to figure out exactly what was the spider girl doing, but her design looks cool !

Thanks for uploading! Hat stacking was fun, and I like the variety of all the different powers you can get, and the idea of passing around the hats to gear up my soldiers was pretty cool. I think some extra feedback would have been pretty nice, since it was kind of difficult to tell that I was hitting the enemy at times. It kind of felt hard to explore far outside the base with a low wave timer - especially since it starts right when the wave appears. I suppose the idea is to give hats out to your troops so that it's safe while you go? The home base was neat, and the character designs were pretty cool too. Appreciate the arachnophobia mode as well.

Cool entry! It was fun to collect the hats and make a giant stack, and I liked how wearing them gives you an extra hitpoint like in Sonic the Hedgehog. The 3D graphics are charming and I'm impressed by the amount of different projectiles and hats. I think having some smaller, easier enemies scattered around could have been cool, as well as enemies that require more hitpoints. (Although maybe there are some hidden deeper in the map I missed!)

Overall, it’s a nice game for a jam! The gameplay feels good, but it’s not very clear visually when enemies are taking damage. Also, I thought picking up multiple hats would stack their effects, but I’m not sure how it actually works- maybe I just missed something or didn’t read carefully.

Cute concept and cute characters! Adorable designs!

A little UX needs improvement a bit and movement was somewhat glitchy, but other than that great work! Also would've enjoyed to read some more in game, like flavor text about hats or some VN-like dialogue employing adorable char designs.
