I really appreciated the little tutorial at the start, super helpful! Maybe the jumps are a bit tight (or maybe I'm just terrible at it). The art is lovely and the music fits perfectly.

This is a great game. Is there only 1 level?

Thanks!
@beebster-games There is indeed only one level - about 5-10 minutes of playtime.

It's so hard I could not even pass the first real screen after tutorial. Jumps are thights ! But cool mood and nice feeling anyway

The art is awesome and the sound effects are great!! The platforming was pretty difficult for me but I love the idea and it was fun to jump around :)

It was cool. The artwork did remind me a lot of Super Mario Bros on the NES so much that I did try to break bricks with my head. I found it quite hard though, I think Super Mario has a bit of acceleration whereas your character is either moving at maximum speed left or right or not. I think the acceleration allows you to make small precise steps a bit more easily. Unfortunately I didn't really manage to get much gold as I kept falling into the lava. Good effort though!

The tutorial was great, and let me get to playing right away. Love the music and sound effects. The difficulty was far too high for me, perhaps because the rooms aren't very forgiving for small mistakes. Admittedly, I'm not an amazing platformer but I did get stuck for a long time on the 2nd room. Persistence paid off eventually :)

Thanks for playing my team's humble effort <3

I played your game just now and like others have said the jumps are perhaps a little unforgiving but youve made something really nice here and you should be proud of it!

Pretty good game, with art abs music. Kinda metroidvania style!

Quite a solid platformer mechanic! Although I don't expect to stop instantly when I'm in the air if I let go of A/D (I used to do that in all my games too tho  ). You've clearly put some effort into refining it tho blocks all seem solid etc.

@raysplaceinspace @nnnnneeeedddd - Thanks a lot for your feedback.

I chose to make the left/right movement instant, without any build-up, for the crispest possible controls. You push a button, you move instantly at max speed. You let go, you stop. Full control, full precision. However, given your feedback, perhaps a bit of acceleration will feel better. I will experiment with this in my next platformer game. Thanks.

What did you use to make the gif that shows game play?

Really great precision platformer physics and good level design, I really liked how the tutorials showed up in game and how you presented new mechanics to the player and great variety on the number of mechanics. Some levels were a bit difficult but a bit of difficulty is good in these type of games!

Overall solid work and really fun to play.

@beebster-games Windows 11 has a built-in tool called Snipping Tool, which also supports recording video. It can also export to GIF, but those usually have weird lag for me, so I use ffmpeg to convert from MP4 to GIF (simply `ffmpeg.exe -i file.mp4 file.gif`)

Is it possible to make the jump on an arrow? It's a little bit uncomfortable to use space
🎤 F2_
Oct 09th · 12:02 UTC
@ira-baciu - Not currently possible. But alternatively you can use ENTER to jump, or you can use a controller to play (jump on A).

I’ve beaten the game! I even love that you can leave the final screen and go back to the original world, hehe. I’m a huge fan of platformers, and this one more than delivers. The level design is fantastic and, for me, the difficulty is just perfect. My sincerest congratulations, I had an absolute blast. What a good entry, great game!

classic but effective, I really like the clean graphics and the large levels... the handling is a little stiff and I would have liked more progression in the difficulty... but it's cool I really enjoyed playing it even if I didn't manage to collect all the coins.

Very solid precision platformer! Controls are super snappy, it has double jump, coyote-time, frustration, everything! Retro vibe is awesome, visuals and audio really fits to it. I don't have enough patience to finish it but I surely tried! ![Screenshot 2025-10-12 at 19.26.27.png](///raw/221/c/z/6f527.png)

That was crazy hard. ![Screenshot 2025-10-16 001014.png](///raw/610/e1/z/6f69b.png)
I wish the level didn't reset after dying, getting back from the key was often harder than getting to it. I found a little bug: sometimes after respawn you die again immediately.

Anyway, a great retro platformer with nice graphics and a nice soundtrack.

Great game! Difficulty was quite high and I got stuck on the room with the golden cross. The movement and jumping feels quite nice though, I'm just not very good at the platforming.
