30 Seconds Till Winter by RazerLazer

[raw]
made by RazerLazer for Ludum Dare 58 (JAM)

My first ever game jam! Honestly, I'm happy I had something presentable, but I know I can do better next time.

Gratz on your first Ludum Dare entry! If i may offer some feedback, both the embedded and itch page are not working, also I would highly suggest uploading a cover image and provide a bit of info in the description.

I can see the potential, but could really use more textures. Keep up the learning, you're doing fine!

For the first ever game jam entry this is nice! Could you tell more about how to play the game? No matter how much wood and bushes I clicked on, I still couldn't craft the fire.

To be honest, I had a great time playing this game with simple lines. It really has a lot of potential. In terms of gameplay, a difficulty curve could be added to make it increasingly challenging. Also, some efforts are needed in the art design. Come on! I hope you will become even better!

I couldn't get it to work. The controls didn't do anything on my machine. Regardless, I want to wish you congrats on your first game jam! It's awesome to see new people take interest in game development, keep at it! :)

I didn't think play a survival in this game jam !

Very simplist, but everything works (not so easy even if you planned the fixes).

Pretty fun to see, but the fire's scale has no clamp at 0, you just can destroy it to avoid the issue :

I had a good laugh when I came back to a fire I had thought dead and found it running rampant and upside down. Turns out, the real life lesson of making sure your fire is out before leaving applies here too! :D

Congratulations on submitting your first jam game! Unfortunately, the controls don’t seem to work on my laptop. I tried clicking but nothing happened.

Hi! Congratz on your first LudumDare entry! It's awesome that you submitted your game. How was the weekend for you? Did you have fun? And what lessons did you learn?

If I may give some advise:
1. Upload some screenshots and give a short description of your game. People want to know what they're about to play
2. for the first couple of gamejams, please do a webbuild/webgame. As you're new here, less people are comfortable with downloading and executing programs on their systems. After a while you can do Windows executables I guess, by then you should have a trusted track record

Finishing jam is a task on its own! Congratulations :)
BTW your game named 30sec till winter and files are named 5min till winter! I can see cuts made right there hahaha! I also incountered strange fire bug, i guess? My wood kept disapearing and strange fire (i think?) was growing on the map. I survived till after 5min, though!

Game has basic resource gathering and basic resource use - its good enough to start! That how everyone starts :) You also was alone - that is making everything harder. But that is what jams for! Learning something while having some fun in the process! Keep jamming!
