UNEARTHING by YellowKamel

[raw]
made by YellowKamel for Ludum Dare 58 (JAM)

In the middle of deep space, stranded in your trusty space ship with the fuel running out... But as luck might have it, you come across a large cruiser. Weird, since it's not on any of the maps you checked, but you take what you can get.

From the moment you dock your ship, you realize that this is not an ordinary shuttle, and the lack of location broadcasts are by far not the only oddity about this place.

Delve into a deep and rich atmosphere, explore the long lost corridors of this once attractive travel ship, and collect all the lore you can to unearth the twisted history of this place.

Remember to check your Journal to keep track of the information you collected

Neat game with a nice atmosphere. Had some moment's of beeing stuck, but managed to leave in the end
As a note, if you stay in the door and try to go back you end up in the same room

The final track from the battery room back to my ship was surprisingly thrilling, great job with the atmosphere! I did not get stuck on any puzzles so that is always good :) Little more difficulty could work, but of course that would be harder to balance. Good map size too, I was able to keep it in my mind complete which was great for fast progression.

Very nice! That was tense towards the end, I was sure that something would jump out of some locker at some point! This tickled some flash game nostalgia for me, great stuff with quite a bit of content and story plus atmosphere and very fitting music!

Very cool graphics, I like the way the rooms appeared and the BG music was nice. I did find the SFX to be a bit harsh sounding but overall it was okay. I liked the vibes and it felt like a good throwback to the games we had in the 90s, nice work everyone!

There's a lot of interactivity here for a jam game!

I think the journal "broke" on my playthrough, the icon vanished so I couldn't find the three digit code.

Also sometimes it was hard to target a specific thing for inspection. But those are minor gripes.

Love the atmosphere, and weaves a nice yarn.

Well done!

A very interesting game with an excellent atmosphere. It made me feel a little nervous. The map size is just right for me. It's a really great game.

Great game, had me nervous something was going to happen especially as I read the logs! I do wish the controls stayed on screen maybe small and in the corner as I forgot about the journal button for a while and got stuck, shame on me for not reading lol. Regardless you nailed the atmosphere, and it was a fun play through!

Amazing work! It’s super interesting and has a vert unique way to paraphrase the theme, good job! And welcome to give our game a try! :)

Kept me interested through and through. Audio/visual part is quite neat (MC run made me giggle a bit though). To me personally platforming was a bit immersion breaking, but then again it had a twist to it. Great atmosphere and a nice contained story, great job!

well rounded game, very nice atmospheric sound. i was actually wondering if something was going to jump out at me. some coyote time and a bit smaller character hitbox for the high jumps could help make the platforming smoother, but otherwise no remarks.

It's hard to imagine seeing such a complete story. I really enjoyed the atmosphere created by the pixelation and the audio coordination—it was an excellent performance! However, the hint for the J key seemed to be only helpful with numbers; I hardly paid attention to any other content :P
