The voice effects and dialogue were funny :D Oh my <3
Thanks for the kind words, everyone! To be honest, we had some doubts about using voice acting for SFX - wasn't sure if it would work, but then thought "screw it, it'll be more fun this way". Really glad that you enjoyed this feature!
@prunus-padis - appreciate the feedback on puzzle variety. We actually planned around 10 levels but underestimated the time and ended up with just 3. Classic game jam story :)
@pres2300 @cartmouse - about the AI and balance... yeah, coding unit behavior turned out to be way harder than I expected. At some point I got tired of fixing bugs and settled for a somewhat stable system. Planning to practice more before the next Ludum Dare!
And @pres2300 - yep, you're supposed to just run past the final boss. We wanted to make a proper boss fight where you constantly switch body parts, but just ran out of time :)
Thanks again for taking the time to write such detailed feedback - means a lot!
Diaglogues were great, but I skipped one by accident when I shot my first demon (I was spamming and instaclosed dialogue because of it). Maybe instead of any portion of the screen as skip - a button? Not sure how it would be best to prevent accedental skips. Other than that it all went smooth enough! Had fun while playing it, thanks :)
It fits the theme well and has its own unique charm.
The background music is really chill and fits the vibe perfectly, but the item pickup sounds started to get a bit annoying after a while.
Nice work!
Thank you all so much for playing my game and leaving such awesome feedback!
One of the coolest games in this jam! It’s really fun and engaging to play — love the voiceovers! Good core mechanics and visual style too.
