The INFAMOUS HAT BANDIT strikes again! This time, he's out to collect his biggest score yet... all of the honest townsfolk's headwear! But beware, the law is here to stop him! Look out for lassoing Deputies, because if that pesky Sheriff catches the Hat Bandit hogtied, the hat stacking spree will come to an end!

A fun short mashing game, got to 17 before something killed me, not quite sure what the "health" was. Could've probably used a secondary mechanic of some sort, mashing and strafing will naturally run dry quite fast.

The idea of collecting hats are really humorous and the funny movement & mucic helps to build the fun atmosphere. Good job!

Main problem with this game is it's actually too easy. Also there's no way that I found in the game to turn green. 5/5 worth the virus

Pretty fun game :) It’s just missing some kind of dash or ability to push away the crowding people around you.

Dang. I wanted to play this, but my computer thinks there's a virus and won't download it.

..maybe provide a virus-free version? Or an html5 version?

Very silly, very fun! I love how the deputies can knock each other's hats off if you're sneaky about your positioning! My pc didn't think this was a virus, but I've run godot stuff before so maybe that matters idk.

noticed that the npcs can get stuck in the doorways after playing for a while btw

Great take on the theme, with good art and humor, solid gameplay, and nice little touches such as the tumbleweeds rolling by and the old-timey film grain on interstitials.

Overall, a great game! The concept is so simple, and it's great fun running away from the police and not getting caught.

I wasn't quite sure what constituted getting caught as I was roped a few times maybe distance to the rope guy? anyway I had a blast the floppy hats were really funny and I got up to 18 as my best stack!

@ty-victorson it probably wasn't the most clear, but you lose when the sheriff catches you tied up.

An interesting game, but I hope there could be more variations in the operation mode. For instance, adding some items that players can use, as well as different abilities associated with different hats. The simple attack method is a bit too basic. But it's still quite impressive to complete it within three days.
