Do you understand what a soul is? What kind of power it can grant to you? You play as "Guest from afar" - collector of souls that came from far away planet to research the true nature of soul.

Controls: Left mouse button to choose enemy you want to attack Drag and drop souls in souls spots (round) Drag and drop ablilties in souls spots (squrare) Drag and drop an ablilty on enemy to use it (you'll see a purple arrow).

Really interesting game! I never quite figured out how to use the ability, and I couldn’t beat the fight against the three enemies - but I absolutely loved the core concept of collecting and equipping souls. That part was brilliantly done!

Nice game! I enjoyed the concept, and was a bit sad to reach the end of the game already, I'd have loved to see a bit more options, and test a few more configurations.

It took me a few attempts to beat the last one, figuring the good configuration, but not so that it became frustrating.

I liked the visuals, especially the cool post process you added that really adds something. It's simple but does the job so well!

UX could be a bit improved:
- I found the "drag-and-release-and-click-to-drop" a bit weird. I would have expected drag-and-drop, or even a simple "click to assign to the first empty slot", since the order in slots have no impact on anything.
- Restarting when defeated shouldn't play the conversations again, and the previous configuration should be kept.

So after a little I was able to beat the game! Pretty hard but once I figured out how to use the abilities(drag from ability to enemy for those who are curious) the game play felt a lot better! Great job!

One small bug in case you decide to update. For the souls that cost 2 points I guess to equip the game does not stop you from placing one if you dont have enough, only if you are already at the max. So I can place a 2 cost soul if I have 4/5 soul points used but not if I have 6/5

Cool game! I'd love to see it taken further. The way where you have to actively target enemies and use the ability is a cool variation on traditional RPG combat. I'm not a huge fan of the drag and drop mechanic for using the abilities, but that could easily be improved with a right click or something, or even hot keys for abilities.

Also, it was a bit of a pain adding souls and abilities each time. Persisting those would be nice.

as it stand it is a nice game but I didn't quite dig the theme-implementation. It took me some time (and I read now from others) to get the drag. The mood and atmosphere are well done!

Thanks for the thorough feedback! Yeah, the ability mechanics turned out really bad — totally my fault. But I’m planning to release a post-jam version and fix it plus add some new stages.

Cool game, I like the art and sound effects were fitting.
- At the end there were 2 ability slots, in which I could put my only ability at the same time, but only the first one worked.
- It would be nice if you were able to select target before pressing start, and if the target switched after the current target died

I didn’t understand how to beat the three of them — while I’m attacking one with 10 damage, the others just gang up on me. Also, I somehow managed to fit two tokens instead of one. And I couldn’t figure out how to use the sword. It would be great if that were explained in the game description :)

I can't beat Victoria, I'm definitely not understanding something because it seems impossible with the skills and souls I have at that point.

I died a few times before I was able to beat it, but managed to get through in the end. The drag-and-drop for abilities was a little odd but it was cool that it let you autoattack one enemy while using abilities on another. Nice job!

Incredible feat to accomplish in 48 hours, as a compo entry! Well done gameplay-wise and atmosphere-wise.

Also for some reason game doesn't load in firefox yet works in Chrome. Odd.
