⚠️Post-Jam Changelog
Please play v0.1 for the on-time submission version!
Thank you all for the kind feedback ♥️
v0.1.2 - 10th October 2:27am CEST
- increase the view radius without vision module
- update control description to make up/down movement clearer (hopefully - we know the two-button implementation is clunky, but you know the "jam")
- try to add a subtle "climb" tutorial at the beginning of the map
v0.1.1 - 5 hours after grace period ended
- fixed to start with a proper level route for the game
- some small fixes here and there (missing audios, annoying asset placements, overlapping textures)
📖 Story
A little firefly finds itself in an abondened, unfamiliar world - suprisingly self-conscious but without senses. To navigate this strange place, it must collect scattered modules to obtain a clearer perception. With each discovery, new sights and sounds emerge, revealing hidden truths. Uncover every module and guide the firefly toward the distant radio tower, where a final message awaits delivery.

🎮 How to play
Aim: Collect all modules and transmit a message via the radio tower.
• A - Move Left
• D - Move Right
• S+(A/D) - Climb Down
• W+(A/D) - Climb Up
• L - Open Lexicon
• Enter - Collect Module

❤️Thank you for playing! If you enjoyed this little adventure, please leave a vote and comment. ❤️

Don't know if i was stupid in the begining, but it took me some time to figure out what i had to do ^^.
Great entry ^^
initially it was unclear why I was falling)
1. Because of very dim lighting I had hard time to understand what even to do at first. My gear kept falling and I didn't see any obstacles. While this dark lighting and fog may be totally fine in itself as an introduction, maybe some text/pictogram hints would be very nice. And maybe simpler level? (e.g. without falling or/and without wall climbing so early)
2. Then, the collectables. I entered a menu, and. What to do with those things? I mean, game allows me to select them. So I thought "maybe I can interact with them somehow". But I didn't found a way, so my next thought was "oh, maybe they are pure cosmetics. that's ok, but a bit sad"
Overall, it was cool little platformer (and very beautiful aesthetically). I could see potential in it. Maybe more mechanics with gears, interactions with those collectables, etc. Thank you!
upd: I forgor to add. The sounds after collecting that big blue thing becomes annoying very quickly. But I liked the music a lot!
I would be glad if you would play our game and rate it.
You implemented the theme in the way I felt does it best... where collecting has a noticeable impact on the game. Each collection felt interesting, some had a noticeable impact on gameplay or visuals, others just worldbuilding by reading their entry in the book, but both worked to keep me engaged. The ambiance and environment did a fantastic job setting the stage and making you want to explore the game more, telling their own little story.
I was stuck at the beginning for 2 minutes beofre realizing I had to UP + RIGHT to climb the wall !
The music and sound effect are great !
The bouncers confused me a bit at first as they were not very visible - Why was I suddenly flying??
Opening the lexicon also seems to freeze the game for a few seconds.
I was also a bit lost for what to do once I had collected everything, but found the station eventually.
In all a really nice experience. Great job.
It's so unfortunate that you couldn't implement everything that you planned in the Jam version. The latest version is already pretty solid, though it can still take a little polishing here and there of course. Hope you can make your vision real in the later versions.
