The game doesn't work on the ldjam page but it does on the itch.io page

I liked the pixel art and the audio, but I couldn't realize where to take the package to, and what my score and general goal in the game is.

Within seconds I managed to get the dog hit by a car :( But other than that, it was fun. I know you opted out of graphics but I thought the town was put together quite nicely, felt intuitive to explore and try and find the collectables. Some more feedback about score, where to go would have been nice but I get that you never have time for everything. Definitely impressive to put this together solo so well done!

The visual of being run over by a car is brutal D: and the cheerful music just keeps on playing

I reached the goal but nothing happened after it, am I missing something?

I found the yellow destination, and got a "you did it" sound, but nothing happened. Is that expected?

It was fun and music was good. But gameplay is too simple

That was a funny little doggo experience. I enjoyed the chill vibe to it. The play area is nicely crafted and not knowing where to deliver the package at the beginning forces the player to explore. I do think the colliders on the cars were a little oversized, because the dog "goes to sleep" really easily when standing next to the road.

I also think there might be a bug in the web build after finding the yellow circle (delivery point) the game freezes with the dog running in place. I think It might be a dialog that isn't rendering or something. I am using the Chrome browser.

I think it's okay to have a short game if you focus on quality and consistency, so players will feel like everything was done on purpose. A few things you can do:

- use pixel art with constant resolution and palette (I know it's harder with free assets, so in this case it's mostly about choosing the right packs from the start, and a little about adjusting the sprites; you can easily swap colors, but not resolutions). Also art style, but if you take a pack for the whole environment, then one for animals, in general it's okay
- polish the intro and ending

Now it all depends on your objectives. If it was to train at integrating some assets and coding motion, it's fine to focus on this and care less about the rest.

About the Ludum Dare submission, note that you can opt out of some categories. I could not rate Humor, and probably other people did the same, which is why you get a Ratings received with a fractional of 1/6. So it should be better to opt out of Humour in this case.

Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated. Once you reach the yellow point in the game, it is considered finished. However, due to time, there is currently no score, text, restart, or end screen. Thanks again.

Very cute dog animation. I walked down the street to a yellow glowing circle and the dog stayed there indefinitely. I wasn’t sure what that meant, but then saw the comments and realized I won. Gives frogger vibes.

The animation of the dog is very detailed, and the idle and running animations are very natural. I got stuck at the yellow dot and was very confused, but after reading the comments, I figured it out. Good game! Keep it up!

cute game! moving through the city works fine, but I think the game is lacking some core mechanics beneath collecting the stars. But I think as a prototype it's great, good starting point for further development :)
