Really catchy soundtrack at the start! And the art feels very "thomas was alone" :)

I wasn't quite sure what to make of the story, but I did make it all the way to the end! Or what i think was the end anyway.

The music and sound effects were great! I like a good story based game too and this one has a good story for a jam game I definitely see what you were trying to do!

Cute music, cute aesthetic, great sound effects. My only note is probably that the camera is too close in, makes some of the platforming feel harder than it probably should. Great job!

Interesting story! Almost gave up near the end though, the game got so dark that it was hard to see where I was supposed to go. Other than that, really enjoyable!

I like the idea of deliver happiness to other people! But the movement of player feels a little bit stiff.

Woah. I got hooked as soon as the first purple guy made me sad, and the music dramatically cut right after. Played through the entire game and I don't regret it.

The music was awesome, and the sound design amazing. One of the most atmospheric / mood-y games I have seen so far in this jam! I have to mention though that the sound effects, especially the jump was very jarring and felt out of place.

I found that the art, while simplistic, was more than enough to convey the story. Speaking of, while I think the story was rushed, this is a game jam entry and it definitely got me hooked.

The screen effects were also amazing, especially the post processing!
Great job! Overall one of the entries I have enjoyed the most so far!

Cool and unexpected game. I liked it.

I would like to note that if you are experiencing depression or any other mental health concerns, it is important to seek professional help from a therapist, counselor, or medical professional. Video games can be a fun distraction, but they should not be a substitute for proper mental health treatment.

Very cool game. However, it ended on some unfinished note, so to speak. Like very sad and empty after passing. But the atmosphere and effects - very cool!!!

-SPOILER-
Like calcopod. I really liked the mood and atmosphere of the game. The effect on the screen, the sound when you get blocked from giving happiness. The mix between a weird guy trying to give too much, and the weird answer, too harsh. And this awfully sad ending. I could have not jump just to not give the story that ending.

Apart from that, some small stuff could be improved :
- Like calcopod said, some sound feels out of place. The jump feels too loud and cartoon-y to me.
- It is a bit weird to use the mouse click, when everything else is keyboard related. Maybe just press "e" again to skip dialog ?
- The platforming feels a bit weird sometimes. And I think it is because we don't have any fixed stuff around. Like there is a moment, I think it's only moving platform, but I can't really tell because i'm moving with them. And it makes the physics suddenly super weird.

Again, great entry for the jam, good job ! Loved it

what a journey.... you really took me with you emotionally on this one. overall the narrative is what stood out, rest was simple. Music was pretty decent too.

Oh boy, that took a turn. I liked the 'Thomas was Alone' aesthetic of giving personality and emotions to blocks. the 'delivering happiness' was a really interesting take on the theme. Pacing could have been a bit tighter, but overall I really liked the mood.

Cute game (until it wasn't :open_mouth: ) audio sounded nice, if a little bit loud, mainly the jump sound. I liked the progression of story talking to more people, it was more than I expected from first impressions. Nice work

Hi! The controls and camera made navigating a bit hard for me and I didn't get to the end, but I liked the writing and the character art a lot!
Congratulations!

If the narrative and atmosphere were your main concerns during development, then you nailed it! Nice building on the topic of "you can't make everyone happy".
Gameplay-wise it was lacking: floaty movement (character is falling slower that expected, can be fixed by increasing gravity on way down), empty rooms with too zoomed in camera (you can't see platforms even if you are close enough, and also the screen seems empty because of that), and also when it became dark it was impossible to continue (after a minute I noticed moving platform, but after that I had no idea where to go). Maybe add a faint outline to platforms that is still visible in the dark? Or at least make it a tone brighter. Or was this the end of the game and a metaphor about dark dark world? :D

Either way, cool entry and thematically on-point!

Neat platformer game. Interesting take on the theme. Art style reminded me of Thomas was Alone. Catchy music. Good job.

Would the outcome be different if we didn't pass on happiness to others
