*Edit: Ok i found the vehicle, but couldn't find more packages just the first one. But i like really the mood and design.
Visually this is immediately pleasing, the choice of title/blog image with the deapth of field and everything is great!
Gameplay feels neat and controls are smooth, I love the atmosphere of this and enjoyed driving around on this little mars colony and doing my chores, kind of a Stardew Valley in space 😄
This is me trying to stack as much packages as possible only for them to be exploded in all directions after I quickly entered and exited the vehicles and also while driving:

But that's Unity physics for you, amirite? ;) If you wanna work on it maybe try to fix that by tweaking the physics material values a bit with gravity and force etc :)
I also liked that you move in the direction of the vehicle and not cam, this feels like an intended difficulty for gameplay :) It would be cool if the cart could drive up steeper slopes than the character can walk, kind of like the Mako in Mass effect!
All in all a cute and fun little entry, congrats guys! :)
Yeah the more I play this the more I think this needs to be expanded. Imagine like.. storms, shuttle landings with these pixelart graphics it would be so perfect
@peterfiftyfour @rakowu you know that we had way more ideas than time  Not sure we need a lowfi death standing :)
@yogurtthehorse for some reason I didn't follow you back, fixed now
@deloriand @gmiss ye, sorry to hear that you was a little bit lost, as you might understand we didn't have time to polish the level completely
@angiemon thanks for a feedback, that's a Unity physics, indeed. A few jams back we developed a 2D physics-based game and say to ourselves "Never again". But we always looks for a challenge, so we had quite a lot of time wasted to configure it more or less reasonable way  Nice to hear that you enjoyed it anyway
P.S. Sorry that I didn't review all of your creations yet, a little bit wasted after the event, but will continue tomorrow!
Maybe theres too much walking, but exploring fancy surrounding while walking levels out that fact
When I see that I would be able to drive a vehicle on theses levels, this game won my heart.
5/5 amazing.
My main problem: game objective. I understand that you probably spent a lot of time on building a world, but you could have utilized the game area little more, place the boxes around in the world and let player explore! While listening to cool ambient music of course :)
Pros
- visuals (+font) and ambient music
- elevation and blurry effects
- integration of tutorial
- vehicle controls
Cons
- climbing to red delivery point was little clumsy, I got stuck in collision on some places I wouldn't expect to ... also going back down I just rolled of the cliff and was "levitating" back to the ground smoothly :D
I like that the game didn't tell me where to find the packages, and instead allowed me to explore freely.
The vehicle physics were nice, although I'm not sure why there were two rovers? In case one got lost / destroyed? Initially thought the second rover maybe had more power for climbing up the mountain to the red drop-off point, but it didn't seem like it.
Only issue I had with the game was that getting to the red drop-off point was a bit tedious, would've been nice if the second rover *had* more power to make that climb slightly easier.
But overall a really nice game! Was it inspired by KSP at all? Definitely seemed like a familiar art style (aside from the art style here being more voxel-oriented) -Peter
@studiocherno @saviqq you are a little bit right, climbing to the red is a little bit not easy, but that was the point tbh. In the very end it's the highest point of the map. Anyway hope you enjoyed it and thanks for playing!
Amazing job you guys!
@zelirman @congusbongus thanks for the feedback :v:

Also, the dynamic element of the truck audio, that it pitches up and down, is really satisfying.
As for the gameplay, this definitely feels like one of those games where you'll get really frustrated over your own clumsiness and I love it. Several times I managed to launch every single box right off the buggy as if a bomb had hit them. I think I have to be more careful with how many boxes I try to cram on there. I did manage to launch a box like a rocket, landing out of bounds which made it impossible to reach. Luckily though it seemed like the boxes got restocked which was very good design to avoid any softlock frustrations.
The design of the colony was also really cool and I loved seeing the other parts of it in the background as I was exploring, especially while climbing the hill for the red delivery.
Really well done, especially for a game jam! I had a great, relaxing time playing.
I did get stuck sadly in the vehicle, here's location incase you're interested:

@binaryspark @mateusboga @honest-dan yes, as you might understand physics is not our strong part and actually we spent quite a time trying to get most cozy feeling from car & character controls, since both are physic based even using built-in implementation was quite challenging. Hope that it didn't ruin your experience completely and thanks for trying
@ski11az thanks for such nice review, dude. It's really a pleasure to hear this kind of words about such a small creation we've managed to make this time. Thank you!
Here is my first attempt:

Nice job! :D
