This game is pretty fun but honestly it's way too hard to dodge the fireballs

beautiful, fun game, and I love the greek theme. The gameplay feels a bit too fast to the point that dodgeing is more luck than skill.

The jump seemed too high that I was floating through the air ~90% of the time, not sure if this is intended. Cool concept, would love more variety in platforming beyond a flat ramp

The art is very beautifull with an unique style and awesome transitions. The music fits the game too.

The gameplay give an impression of speed, which is good. But when going at full speed it's almost impossible to dodge anything. Offseting the player character to the left of the screen would give more time to react. Increasing the contrast of the fireball vs the background would make them easier to see too (the blue background of the ground level work well for that).

Also there a lot of things are unclear. I'm still not sure how the health system works, showing health points would help. The green orbs looks like the fireball but it seems that they are not hurting the player (heal??). It look like we have to go fast because Zeus is closely following, while in reallity it's possible to stop or even goind back and he will stop too. Also I tried a more carefull/slow approach, that get me farther than the fast one, but I died suddently without apparent cause (no fireball, no zeus, no falling). Feedback (sounds notably) would also help making the things less confusing.

Good job anyway, it's one of my favourite game in term of art and "mood". Lot of potential here, just need a more polished gameplay.

@thetatautau, thanks for the constructive feedback, yes, the greens give acceleration. Lots of work to be done :)

This a great jam game! The art is nice, the music is perfect to the style and gameplay, the mechanics work well and the theme ties in perfectly. Great work!

The only feedback i would have is it would be nice of the camera showed a little more infront of the character and less behind the character and if there was a slight bit of tutorial as the mechanics were introduced.

@Rocktavious Thanks for the feedback! In the updated version I will make a slightly shifted camera.

I absolutely love the sfx in this. The soundtrack is funky and fun, and the fact that the attacks have sound cues that add to the track is great. The gameplay is speedy and I want to go fast, love the streaming torch. I wish I had some more input or influence though. I kinda just have to hop along and hope for the best. Going faster seems detrimental.

I've had a blast playing this game, the pace is exhilarating, and the Greek theme adds a unique charm. The art and music harmoniously blend together to create an engaging atmosphere. However, I share the sentiment with others about the speed of the game, it indeed makes dodging fireballs a Herculean task. Perhaps, a more responsive control system or a slightly slower pace would balance the difficulty. Also, a more detailed tutorial could help clarify the health system and the purpose of the green orbs. It's noticeable that the player character is centered, which limits the reaction time - having it offset to the left might be an improvement. Despite these points, the game has a substantial potential and I'm eager to see how it will evolve in future updates. Keep up the good work!

Look at him go haha. The theme with the main character burning everything in his path is a fun combination.

I found it a bit odd that it was so easy to take a couple steps to the left on a platform and fall endlessly into the void. I did like the look of it and the core concept even if I found that I was no good at it.

@BrahGold Try to go to the right :) But in general, you need to include death on the fall, yes.

great music and fun graphics, I had fun but the game is too hectic. I would appreciate if there was another way to protect yourself from danger than just dodging it.

I would give my UI life somewhere where I have a better view of how many more hits I can get.

I enjoyed it, very good start :)
