This is really good for a first attempt, and just in general. The platforming is smooth (I do wish there was an option for playing with two hands, like arrow keys + Z to jump) and the graphics are great. One thing that could've used another look is the text. When it draws in front of windows it becomes hard to read due to lack of contrast. Adding a stroke or putting it inside a word balloon with a solid color background would solve that. Also, the cannon sounds are a little annoying.

Smooth platforming, nice execution. Big fan of the 1-bit style and wished to see more of it. Encouraging entry for the future!! Congratulations

For a first game this is very impressive. The art is good and the platforming physics felt nice. It was hard but not frustratingly so.

I'm not sure if it was a bug but the hearts don't respawn after you die which makes it a lot harder on subsequent runs. The sounds were nice but I think they should've been muted when you are talking to people. But I liked the game and it was fun to play and retry.

Well done and I look forward to seeing your future entries.

Fun game, the graphics where simple yet nice. One small suggestion would be to add checkpoints, so you would not have to restart from the begging.

Really like the simple artwork of this! Gameplay-wise I think you should try to avoid hhaving enemies/traps when the player can't see them. For example falling or jumping right into a trap without knowing it's there fells a bit cheap. A checkpoint would also be quite helpful. But I liked it overall!

Wow haha this is a really well made entry! Maybe I didn't expect much because of the "my first attempt" title, but this surpassed all my expectations.

The Windows 95 vibe is strong in this one.

I love the story being lightweight, like old times where good boys are complimented and that's it. I'll probably show my son this game, saw him play a similar one before. (the ending was kinda weird though)

Only issue I had is the old lady's message color was kinda hard to read, and the overlord's message was cut off at the right side.

While there's not a whole lot to Unwelcomed Delivery, what's there is really good. The handling on the character controller is solid and you do some pretty fun stuff with it. (Love the additional special moves, they add some nice variety.) There's varied danger throughout each section, with some fun twists along the way. It never feels too overwhelming, but it's a little tricky to get through completely untouched, so it doesn't feel too easy either.

Visually reminiscent of MS-DOS era games, but with some really nice polish. Particles and other special effects are put to good use here. I also really like the contrasting color for the level tiles, nothing was confusing or difficult to read and the side characters were interesting and different every time.

The only things I could pick out that I'd like to see changed are the little old lady's text color, as it was a little hard to read against the white windows in the back, and add some background music.

There's a good sense of polish and player experience here. From the menu to the ending, Unwelcomed Delivery looks and plays good. Even outside of the context of this being your first LD entry, it is a solid and serviceable entry.

Nice one! I'd love to see some on-screen indicators for life and such, but apart from that it's great. I like the visual style and it's good and challenging.

Awesome! Kinda challenging for someone who doesn't play platformers (me) because of these "squishy" controls but addictive. Liked that simple plot. Nice 10-minute experience overall.

The mood was moody! I didn't get very far because I had to start at the beginning every time I died and I died a *lot*. Congrats on a complete entry!
