The driving controls took some getting used to but were interesting. It became too challenging together with the short time available when I got unlucky and a heart spawn right next to two happy people. I think either allowing for a bit more maneuverability (smaller turning radius) or more time would be good.... or the spawning of hearts and old people should avoid sectors with happy people as much as possible. You could divide the area into a grid and only consider squares that have the lowest occupancy number as potential spawn places. Then the hearts and old people could spawn at random within the selected squares each round.
Graphics were nice with that reduced palette and in general a cool game
Good work!
Amazing graphics and audio
Good job.
The idea is very simple and I'm okay with that, expecially when you finished the game in just 20 hours! Good job :)
Graphics are cute and impressive for such a short time too!
Good overall.
Music was turned off after 30 seconds, though
fun game! i am really terrible at it :p

I couldn't tell if the game was intentionally messing with me a little bit, there was a very interesting uncanny feeling about it, which actually added to the atmosphere.
I did encounter an instance where an old one spawned right on top of a happy one, which made it impossible to keep going.
What a neat little game!
i guess some added sound effects for tires screeching or drifting had been nice!
The car was so fun to zip around. That said movement felt a bit odd.. the car was so fast and turning circle so wide. I kind of wanted a smaller turning circle but also liked the challenge from a larger one.
One thing that I think would have really stepped it up is sound effects.
All that said had a great time whenever I finished a round just wanted to jump back in and keep driving great work :)
I'm a sucker for this sort of game so had a lot of fun. I think the highlights for me are the concept don't re-enliven the young and its associated challenges) and the control mechanism.

I enjoyed the graphics and presentation overall. The game loop was pretty tight, though I felt the mood was brought down a bit by the sullen music.
There are a few things I would have liked to see that I think could have been easy improvements:
- Difference in colour between "happy" people and "sad" people.
- Points awarded based on time remaining for each delivery, to reward faster play.
- Some kind of ramp-up in tension that encouraged more dynamic play, rather than static play. I felt like the more points I had, the slower I needed to drive to avoid hitting people. It felt intentional, but still not as fun as earlier in the game. Maybe some way of clearing the board of people could have been interesting?
Overall, I think this is a great entry (this is your first jam game?! excellent work) and only needs one or two tweaks to be super addictive. Thanks for sharing!
