This is really cool! I think the core mechanic is really fun, I quite enjoyed the movement in general and it feels like it has a ton of potential! It's a bit annoying that I have to constantly wait for the energy bar to refill, I feel like it could refill instantly whenever you land instead. Otherwise great game, I really enjoyed it!

Love this idea and this is fun! I agree with Torculus on both fronts - the core mechanic is a lot of fun to play with but I don't really feel like waiting for the energy bar to fill adds too much.

@eieio you 're right,At first, the game was not in this form,I should remove this mechanism after changing the gameplay,Thank you for playing and giving me advice ;)

I like the idea, and I did have fun trying it. The drag controls is a bit difficult use on a pc, but it would work great on a smartphone. The game could have used some music and perhaps a more sound effects. Overall an interesting little jam game. Well done.

I love the movement in this game! It's really hard to remember which direction to pull to go the certain way especially when in a tight situation, and I love that aspect! The graphics were really nice to look at and you did a great job making this game! Keep up the good work!

I felt almost guilty that I laughed at the first "I am dying" prompt.

dragging mechanics are pretty hard with touchpad.

I feel kinda dark humor vibes to this and I really like it.

There is something addicting about the movement. It reminds me a lot of those rage games that were and still are quite popular with streamers. One thing that I found a little annoying was waiting for platforms to arrive, but I guess going with the entire rage thing maybe it's a feature. I liked the sound effects. Kind of goofy but in a good way. Overall pretty fun to play. Didn't get any gold coins tho.

Fun game I got a bit confused on where to go at the end because I fell to the beginning. There were a few times I would randomly or not know what a block did but fun challenging game

The drag to jump mechanic is a really cool idea. Much like others said, it needs the energy mechanic to fill instantly once you hit the ground to improve the pace IMO.

The opening sequence gave it a nice narrative context which made me care about delivering the envelope. I liked the level design, how you could see a ledge that was too high to reach, then circle back to it after obtaining the extra jump height.

(T ^ T) When I saw the letter falling off the car, my heart broke.

Σσ(・Д・;)Then I found out that more letters fell off the car,

ヽ(#`Д´)ノand the delivery quality of this post office was really terrible!

Great game, the save points are thoughtful and reduce the difficulty. Additionally, providing an extra web-based map helped people like me with slower reflexes to continue playing. I also noticed that different surfaces have different levels of smoothness. Thank you to the development team for bringing me such a wonderful experience

Love the concept - reminds me of a combination of Angry Birds and a rage game! The stamina guage is a nice twist as well, as it adds to the puzzle element.
It's a shame that the web version (which I can only play as I'm on Mac) doesn't have the option or ability to go full screen, as it made the game even harder with my mouse going off the game area, but I can see you have the solid beginnings of a good game.

I'm guessing that you are very early into your game dev journey. So congratulations on finishing a game in time.
Now to the game:
I think you have some good ideas and concepts. The sound effects are hillarious and I love this.
But the controls for one are not intuitive at all and are also not properly implemented.

But as always, good job on finishing the jam.

Really fun game. I would make the jump a tad bit more powerful. Oh and I encountered a bug where my "jump power" wouldn't regenerate so I was softlocked and had to restart.

I got stuck on a corner and can't move anymore
![stuck.png](///raw/0b5/z/5b6d1.png)
I think this'd work better on a touch device - playing with a mouse is giving me RSI,
still it's a nice idea well executed!

@snotax Yes.This is my first time participating in this jam, and since all the code was written independently after the jam started, I didn't have much time to optimize the controls. Thank you for your feedback, I will improve it in the future.

I was excited to find that it was kind of a Metroidvania type of game, but unfortunately it's just broken. At one point I got stuck so I hit the reset button expecting it to start me again from the checkpoint, but instead it restarts the whole game, which is pretty wild. I tried to get back to where I left off, but I kept falling through the floor when I dropped into the cave.

Beyond the technical issues, there's a lot you could still do graphically without being an expert artist. Unity has a tileset system, as well as systems for 9-slicing and scaling sprites that would have been useful here to achieve a more polished, professional looking game world without any real additional effort. Also, some color coordination would go a long way. Blue is an unusual color for danger, although I understand it's probably because you don't want to get the letter wet. The bullets are white, though, which is a color usually used by the environment and upgrades. Making all of the dangerous objects the same color would give more clarity to the player.

This is an ambitious entry for your first time, and the unique control scheme is cool. I also like the variety and difficulty of the obstacles. This would be a really solid game with a little bit of polish.

I liked the platforming, but do have some ideas for how to improve it.

I think you should reconsider colors, and their meaning. Having pink as "save point" and purple as "kills me", i feel like those two colors are too close to eachother, with such different meaning. It would make more sense to have eg. green "save" and red "Kill". Furthermore, the elevators are white, and push me around, but the circles, which are also white will kill me. I assumed since they were white, that they would push me off the platform.

I really did like the "ghost" positions of the elevators though, so that i knew where they were stopping.

@quinn-patrick I'm very sorry.〒▽〒 I actually used a tileset system, but since my game was initially designed as a simple level-based game with a few stages, I changed the gameplay midway, which led to not being able to draw many tiles. That's why you can see some grass in some areas but not in others. In addition, in terms of map design, I strictly controlled the height of platforms to limit where players can jump. However, I didn't have enough time to adjust the tile map to fit the new gameplay. Also, the bug you encountered was actually a new bug that I added when I was fixing bugs yesterday. I'm really sorry about that. I have fixed it now. I have also addressed your suggestion for the reset button. Now, it can take you back to the previous save point. Since the reset button was a product of my original level-based design, I set it to restart the scene. However, I didn't modify it when I switched to a single-scene design. I'm really sorry about that. I will learn from my mistakes in the future. Thank you for your feedback.

@quinn-patrick @kasperhangard Regarding the color issue, the reason why I used blue for "danger" when the envelope touches water is that I thought it was reasonable. However, I didn't have time to draw water, and now I realize that I shouldn't have used blue until I could make it clear to most people that it represented water. Therefore, I have changed it to red and changed the save point to green. At the time, I thought it was water, so I might have been biased. I will be more mindful of this issue in the future.

Nice idea and execution! I agree with earlier comments saying the "energy" should immediately go back up once landed, to avoid the waiting before next jump(s).

@praccen I have already tried my best to shorten the energy recovery time, but due to map design issues, there would be some minor problems if I were to shorten it to zero.(T_T)

A addictive little game. The core leaping is pretty satisfying and the challenge themed areas were neat. A little investment in some visual effects for jump, death and respawn would add a lot to the core loop.

One thing I would add would be to maintain horizontal movement after hitting and sliding up a platform. It was frustrating nicking the corner of a platform and losing all forward movement and plummeting to my doom.

This is really fun! The base mechanic is strong and the level design is overall pretty good. I found there was a difficulty spike once the moving platforms were introduced---dodging the red balls while riding one of those was was harder than anything else up to that point. But overall this is a great game :)
