You're Doing Crate!

You're a logistics bot on a space station! Cargo will drop onto the platform, and ships will fly by requesting certain items. Click to pick up nearby items, and click again to drop the top-most item. Organize piles of cargo anywhere to streamline your platform.

Make Piles (Or Bask In Chaos)

Screenshot1A.png You can pick up 3 things at a time, and can drop off stuff any time you want. Use your platform how you want, making piles of cargo types for easy access. OR bask in chaos and drive into boxes. It's up to you, it's your platform.

Deliver Stuff!

Screenshot2a.png Each of the 3 Delivery Zones will periodically get a new ship requesting 3 items. Drop off the requested items to score points. Each delivery has a timer; if you miss 3 of them its game over!

Chill robot vibes in space

Screenshot3a.png Intended to be a chill logistics game. Lo-fi beats and generous time limits. Make piles of cargo or make a mess.

Thanks!

I hope you enjoy the game! It was a fun mad-dash to the finish line. I kitbashed the art from packs and have a license for the music (but didn't make it myself). For whatever reason, robots in space doing stuff to lo-fi music is really my thing. I hope it's yours too!

Neat game. Very chill. I did notice when I paused the game to quit that the pause screen still showed my score as 0.

I appreciate the lo-fi nature of the game, though I did start to get bored as the game didn't seem to have much in terms of escalation or changing over time. The mood comes through really well though!

Thanks for the comments! Yeah @kleinzach the challenge curve is definitely on the lower end, but I'm glad the mood comes through really well! :) And dang @shiiro-10psi I knew there was something I forgot to wire-up! Thanks for catching!

I decided I should bask in the chaos and boy did it get chaotic. It was so chill until the piles prevented me from getting to the right supplies. Then it became frantic. I really liked this relaxing experience, until it wasn't.

This is really polished! The art kits and music were well chosen, and I really enjoy the segway-esque navigation of the robot. It feels a bit like a single player Overcooked, I played this for quite a while. Thank you!

Not sure if there is an ending, but got to 5000 before stopping.![Screenshot 2023-05-07 184358.png](///raw/da9/b1/z/5b967.png)

Lot of fun, though I think the ships come in a bit too slow, perhaps 25s instead of 30s. I had enough time in between ships that I could pre-emptively place cargo at the spots (and sometimes it would accept it?) I'm not sure if this was intentional, but one of the hardest things was that the "E" key is both pick up and release. It made it harder to swap out what was on the buggy, but not in a way that was satisfying (if that makes sense).

Hey @jacobingalls yeah that totally makes sense! It was one of the things that was juuuust out of scope for the jam, and I 100% get what you mean. The pickup/release mechanic feeling as well as the ship speed ramping up were two things left to do. I really appreciate you playing (and racking up a huge score!), and for your thoughtful comment :)
