About the game

Charon is a diligent employee of the Hades's souls delivery service. In his work, he is guided by simple principles:

💀 In case of loss of cargo, the carrier is not liable to the cargo

💀💀 Disbelief in Hades does not exempt from the fee for crossing the Styx

💀💀💀 Delivery is carried out as quickly as possible (disembodied souls find it difficult to hold the paddles and row to the shore)

Your task is to deliver all the souls to the realm of the dead. Manage the work of souls, avoid damage to the boat and leaks, and beware of monsters!

How to play:

To successfully get to the pier on the other side of the Styx, you need to drag the souls between the slots in the boat using the mouse cursor (or touchpad). Distribute rowers so that the boat dodges obstacles. When flying monsters attack, take the souls out of the slots in time or protect them with amulets. Repair holes in the boat in time so that the boat does not sink. May the Styx be merciful to you.

Very beautiful graphics! Great work with this game, it's incredible how much you guys got done during this game jam. Really enjoyed the voice acting as well, keep it up!

Excellent game. The only thing I have to complain about is the length and repetitiveness. I stopped at 50% because it was just the same all the time.
Everything else was perfect though, the mood was great!

It's a really cool idea and graphically impressive! The gameplay is good too but like made3 said it gets really repetitive very soon. You should divide it into different trips and the first should take very little time and you add more mechanics at each trip. If you add more stuff to do and develop it further it might be a succes, it looks amazing in trailers and screenshot, looks like you are great at marketing!

Hi, thanks for the feedback, it's all good. Regarding replayability and complexity, initially we had additional mechanics (a separate monster for slots with paddles, slot upgrades, additional interactive obstacles, etc.), but feature-cutting. A little out of time.)))

The Ship looks amazing and i also really like the combination of 2d and 3d. The difficultycurve is kind of weird though, maybe that was jsut me but it felt like it got easier the more souls i lost, because i then could focus on only steering. Oh and also the Voicelines in the background are very cool

Amazed that this was done in <72hrs, best 3D game I've played so far this jam!

Great job! Amazing art, and it plays well. I like the way the boat turns. It's not how I expected and it just works well with all that's going on here.

Cool idea and very beautiful art. The sound design was on point.
I didn't noticed the percentage and was wondering what will happen next, when will it end. You might want to make it more obvious, like a loading bar of sort.
I also found that if a character finished repairing and is moving back to their spot, they can be killed even if they're not there yet, which is unfortunate since I can't do anything. Slightly uncool experience there.

I really enjoyed this concept. The graphics looked awesome, and I really enjoyed the ambiance music. I did feel like it got easier when I got down to 2 rowers. I also didn't see much of a difference between each of the different types of rowers. I also think if the red squares showed up along the outer squares as well it would have added quite a bit more management so you couldn't just hide the rowers along the oars. Overall, I really enjoyed the concept and gameplay!

Looks positively insane! And the gameplay loop is damn satisfying too. Would love to see more of everyting - variety in the worker actions, more levls, more layouts, all centred around a proper narrative! Fantastic entry, well done!

Holy moly, what a :top: game! Looks so damn realistic, the mood is spot-on, and the audio is bone-chilling. Like others, am amazed you guys managed to do all this within 72 hours!

I really liked the game idea, the audio and the atmosphere are amazing. I loved the mix of 2D with 3D. I didn't find any bugs, one suggestion I have is that it would be nice to put a frame around the percentage or something to highlight the number, since the first time I played I didn't even notice it. I would like to see more mechanics, but I understand that sometimes there was not enough time to implement them. You guys did a great job.

I loved the mood, and think it's a very neat game idea for balancing the steering! My only suggestion would be to add in different kinds of obstacles to steer around, to add some variation! Nice job!

The atmosphere is amazing! Sometimes I felt overwhelmed by the multitasking, but it overall felt manageable.

Great graphics, voice over, and music. The gameplay was a little stale after 20% or so. Perhaps more, shorter trips, would entice players to replay and experience different souls.

One of the greatest game designs that i seen so far. It's get a bit repetitive towards the end, but its fun for a go.

What a great entry !!! Amazing details on the boat ! Well play! I didn't notice the red tiles at start, so my sailors get destroyed bye harpies xD

Great game! I like the mechanic of moving the characters around to do various actions. Balancing the rowers to avoid obstacles is a lot more interesting than if you could just turn manually. Temporarily sacrificing rowers to fix the boat is a neat alternative to simply losing health. I pretty much forgot what the character's stats were though.

The presentation is fantastic too. The graphics overall are very detailed. Touches like the green souls reaching up from the river really help to sell the premise of crossing the Styx. The music is great and also contributes nicely to the atmosphere. The voice acting was cool, but got a bit repetitive after a while.

Nice job guys.
Everything is very cool, but sometimes you swim for 10 seconds without incident, and sometimes there are too many of them at the moment.

Really great vibes in this game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 53 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. https://youtu.be/d5bLQmuzzPs

Really dug the music and the game loop. I guess if you continued developing beyond the jam, it'd be cool to see some 3d characters , and some animations for the eagle / vulture snatching the souls from the boat. :imp:

I think the goal could probably be maybe at the 60% mark of the current game, as the difficulty plateaued once you got the hang of steering and keeping your souls from being stolen. A bonus thing could be maybe aiming the boat near rocks /floating wood to rescue souls / gain souls back if you lose them
