Pizza Delivery by Codexzier
The game was developed for the event Ludum Dare 53 with the theme: Delivery.
Controls: WASD or arrow keys
Game description: By ship the pizzas are brought to the customers by the pizza delivery service. Bring the right pizza and on time to the customer. 3 points if for on time and the right one. 2 points if on time 1 point if delivered out of time.
The pizzas in the inventory are taken out in order.
Note: Unfortunately there is still a bug in the inventory with the pizza icons. Here the correct pizza is not always displayed.

This was nice, I like the setup with the little islands! I didnt' really understand if there were different types of pizzas to pick and deliver to the right places but it was nice!
The retro art style was also cool :)
Also, the web player cuts off the UI at the top and unity player at the bottom in the LD web player. So I was missing the op UI that showed what pizzas I had.
Top score of 56, not sure if that is good...
I do like your attempt to create a bunch of islands and a gameplay cycle around it, but if I would be honest there are plenty of options to make it feel less flat and neutral.
Visually would be nice to have more details in animation of movement and taking & delivering pizzas. Gameplay wise it would be cool to have slightly more different drop off points and some randomization around it. World building is also might be slightly more complex and you might have more complex islands to avoid / visit.
Don't get me wrong, it's a good result especially for a single person, but it might be way better, I see a lot of perspective in it :thumbsup:
Maybe an issue with handling the movement in the update function without multiplying by Time.deltaTime.
I think it was a good length, especially for a game jam which encouraged playing for a few extra tries! This would feel right at home as a little arcade or minigame in another game!
Some feedback:
- Sometimes the green pizza background on the green island was very hard to see.
- I also kept getting pizzas with a pink background but none of the islands ever seemed to want them.
I liked the music, but it was a bit harsh at times, not sure if those are square or saw waves, possibly just have the volume lower? Just something I noticed.
