Spatial Delivery by Michael Darling
Get ready for some intergalactic deliveries in Spatial Delivery! Using your trusty drone(s), your mission is to collect items and transport them to their designated delivery zones. The more successful deliveries you make, the faster the items will spawn. However, be careful not to miss any deliveries, as this will negatively impact your reputation.
As you progress in the game, your drones will slow down as they carry more items. But don't worry, you can use the money earned from successful deliveries to purchase additional drones and distribute the workload.
Please note that if the HUD on the top and bottom of the screen is not visible, try running the game in fullscreen or playing the downloadable version.
Controls
- Choose a single path: Left click
- Queue path: Shift + left click or right click
- Switch drones: Tab or left click on a drone
- Clear paths: Escape
We hope you enjoy playing Spatial Delivery and delivering packages across the galaxy!

I think this is a very interesting idea that could really become something great with a bit more work. It gets a bit too crazy when you have more than 2 drones, almost impossible to plan anything. perhaps if drones didn't automatically collect everything they touched, but you had to click on a thing to specifically tell it to pick it up?
Well done, thought this was great.
Great job guys! We actually made Orbit Express which is also a galactic deliveris game, but with a completly different tone haha you should check it out! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/53/orbit-express

That allowed me to pause for a few seconds and enjoy what I've done.
One thing I might have missed - is there a quit button? I was closing the game using alt+f4, but that's not the most convenient solution. :P
I also wish it was possible to discard produce! Since every delivery spawns with its associated item, it's possible to end up loaded down with undeliverable goods, and the screen becomes a minefield of produce with no recipient.
And yeah, as noted by others, it is *bad* that there is no way to exit the game other than Alt+F4. If this game ran in Windowed mode, it'd be forgivable, but taking over the screen and forcing the player to force-quit is poor practice. (My own game lacks a dedicated "Quit" button, yes, an oversight on my part, but you can close the window at any time!)
edit: I see now I missed the control for queueing things up, that would have made things much easier on me
- Single manually controlled drone
- Micro-managing multiple drones
- Oh damn they can steal each other's resources
- Having one main drone with big inventory and few helpers
- Spamming the map full of drones with automatic routes going in circles (did not work)
- Back to single drone (+ a single helper here and there) :D
Syncing the music with the timer was a great idea, the last few seconds had a solemn vibe to them.
