I'm so sorry. So very sorry. °д°

I was really disappointed with the theme. Déjà vu from "You are the Villain" much?
Anyway we were joking around in a livestream when the them was announced, the topic of F.O.E. came up and honestly it was too good to pass up.

the jump poofs and sounds are cute. the the control scheme is awful. I did like the colour pallet.

Looks pretty meme-y? Right now I'm a super big FOE and I'm just letting it run to see how big it will get haha. The biggest problem I had is you have no idea where the hitbox is and after a while I just ended up sitting and watching it.

Nice color scheme and sound effects. It didn't need user input to play itself - I spent a long time watching it do its thing before becoming an adult... Wasn't sure if it wasn't going to be a different sort of 'adult' themed game for a while there!!

I found this really zen-like. I particularly like the little cloud/particles when you bounce.

This game is very good! I spent a lot of minutes trying to become a big one, and I did it. But then came another one just as big as me. I couldn't tell if I was the bigger one or it was, but decided to give it a try....... I was smaller... :(

So much pink, so much pink! And I assume those creatures aren't what they look like?

This is very weird, but satisfying. I recognised that logo from Twitter and had to see what this was about. It's strangely cute and weird...

Wish I knew where the "eat" area was, especially when chasing itty-bitty guys. Interesting idea.

This is oddly enjoyable to play. It's something about the jumping and the particle effects.

Weird game.. The hitbox felt a little messed up after the uh thingymajig got too large. :I

I really liked the simplicity of the concept at first, but as the creature grows bigger it also becomes harder to control until it basically becomes a matter of leaving the game alone. If you manage to fix this or add some more challenges for the end-game you can have something interesting here. Music and graphics were also cute :D

Either way, congrats!

Don't beat yourself up; this was HILARIOUS.

I only have two issues: one, the hitbox for eating the other little guys isn't obvious, and second, I would've appreciated some kind of gib effect for the actual eating (the sound effect is cute, though).

And I love how I can end up becoming a bouncing orb of (fiery?) destruction. XD

I agree with others in that when you start getting much larger it actually becomes much more difficult to consume things. It's partially because of the hitbox changing and partially because the npc jumping patterns are out of your control and sometimes you needed to just wait for them to "sync" up correctly with you... or desync, whatever.

I think actually just spawning in much more over time and altering the hitbox as you grow would be probably the simplest solutions. I would have liked to see more of the npc's getting larger too, since I found that aspect interesting... coming across a bigger npc and knowing it's like that for a reason. Not just because you spawned it in randomly larger.

I actually didn't mind the one button aspect for the controls though. At the very least it makes the game simple to pick up.

After a certain point it does seem like the kind of game where you just want to leave it idling because you kind of want to see what happens but you don't necessarily want to actively play anymore.

I have to say though, this is probably one of the better "I didn't like the theme so I made something silly" games I've seen for LD in general.

it's a very simple game, just jumping around eating your relatives, very relaxing i like it!

@hoqjed: fun fact, all NPCs spawn in at the default size (1). Any NPC large than that /has/ eaten things. I maybe didn't make that obvious enough.

I'm not sure where the collision boxes are, but i couldn't eat other creatures half of the time, especially as i grew bigger. Gets rather dull when you have the same speed as what you're chasing, too. Graphics are cute though, the little dust cloud feels oddly satisfying. Is this memes?

oh my god... it's beautiful. so very beautiful. where has this been my whole life? i played so long, my god-like sun-shaped guy was so large, i couldn't consume anymore, because they just couldnt reach me. this game was amazing.
