In Ice Tactics you must carefully plan a route around enemies to get your character safely to the exit. Place direction arrows on to the game area to change the direction of your player. Use the pause tile to stop your character to dodge enemies. Click the play button or spacebar to continue. Don't forget to collect all 3 animals or else you won't be able to exit and proceed to the next level.

I plan to continue development on this game, I was only able to implement less than 5 percent of the ideas I got during the brainstorming phase.

On the theme: It might be loosely based around the theme harvest, with the collecting of animals being the closest thing to the theme, but the actual brainstorming of ideas for harvest led to this idea.Screenshot (2).png

This is a new game genre for me, and I love it! Unfortunately, I seem to have gotten stuck on the fourth level when I tried to redirect my character right after a pause (the character just stays still on the arrow after the pause, no matter what I do)

Great game though!

Thanks for the feedback archfan7411! Unfortunately, the pause button is a little bit bugged. I recommend not putting pause tiles right next to other tiles for the time being, but I will fix it.

I like this game! Excellent idea!

If the number of arrows is limited, this will be a very strategic and fun game

Thanks for the feedback huozhedexiaoc! That will be coming soon! I didn't have enough time to implement it, unfortunately.

good idea, but I find I dont understand how to use pause button, and I hope your game can save buttons I put last time.

### Game

Oooh, a **visual programming puzzle game with action elements**, since monsters move in real time! That's interesting!
Have you ever played a game by [Zachtronics](https://zachtronics.itch.io/), by chance? Programming puzzles is their specialty (and solitaires, I guess?)!

I had to stop playing before the last level since I got **stuck after landing on a pause tile**, just like @archfan7411 said.

A good idea to make playing the game smoother would be **hotkeys to pick up arrows**: `W` would pick up , `A` would pick up :arrow_left:, and so on, making placing them easier!

### Distribution

Please **mention the platform your game is for** somewhere on your page: I'm on Linux, and I wasn't sure if your game could work on my PC until I downloaded it!

The puzzles are well made, and I like the mechanics. For future improvements, maybe more limitation to the player could make it more interesting. Nice game!

Very nice idea! I agree with the previous comment on limiting the arrows to make the game more strategically difficult. Good job!

Could not get past the first pause button level. Otherwise a neat implementation for a puzzle game.

Unfortunately I got stuck on the 4th level with the pause buttons like others have mentioned. Good puzzle game though, with a few more mechanics in you can start inventing more mechanics simply with the in-game tools. As you mentioned you'd be continuing with the game, fast-forward buttons would be nice as well as keeping your tiles in place when you die so you could edit them.

Nice puzzle game! You could add a "hard mode" where the number of arrows are limited. Overall, good job!

I really like puzzles like that! Interesting take with real-time timing. The art styl is nice too. Only thing to correct would be, as other mentioned, getting stuck on pause button. Good luck with further development!

Nice game! Interesting mechanics that are built up in complexity as the levels progress, although I hit a bug in one of the levels that wouldn't let me progress. Cute pixel art and a good level of difficulty, requiring thought but not too punishing. I look forward to seeing where this goes!

Fun game! Interesting blend of real-time and programming. I'm sad about the anti-octopus specism, I thought they were friendly at first. I found that you can overlap instruction tiles to make sort-of diagonal move tiles, which is probably a bug but also kind of fun to play with.

Good entry and fun take on the ice puzzle game. I can tell you had a lot of ideas but were limited by the jam time  Keep on makings games!
